Hello,
Whenever I launch any games after downloading from drop, it creates a cmd prompt that then launches the game; closing the cmd prompt counts as the game being closed, but the game remains open; It's not a massive bug or anything but it is mildly annoying and would be great to fix, thank you
@seamon67 commented on GitHub (Aug 28, 2025):
I think this is causing some games to not launch from the Launcher.
Wartales for me is not launching from the Launcher and always crashes.
Opening the exe manually works.
@DecDuck commented on GitHub (Aug 28, 2025):
Are there any logs from that crash?
Hiding the command prompt likely won't change the underlying way the game is launched, so that sounds like something that needs to be investigated fully.
Edit: please open a separate issue though, this one will be closed when it's implemented.

Hey, I just booted up into Windows, and I am unable to replicate this behaviour with either Stardew Valley or ROR2. Can you provide more information about your setup, like have you set additional launch parameters or smth?
@Neko-LoverDisc commented on GitHub (Sep 2, 2025):
No additional launch parameters; Games I tried were Celeste, Possession, and Depth of Extinction; all itch.io releases
