A "mature" flag might be important as this could be useful in a family situation where you want to make some games available to your family but don't want some games accessible to younger audiences and of course you'll need to somehow flag users as being able to access the mature content, or perhaps the ability to restrict some users from certain libraries?

I second this, but should be expanded to RBAC so we can create custom roles and assign them to games and users.

I like this idea and have a suggestion for this. Perhaps you use your metadata provider IGDB for the Pegi, CERO, ESRB, et cetera age rating systems. Since it does support it and lists them on games that have been rated through those rating systems. Sadly I don't think GaintBomb or PCGameWiki supports it, but if a user wanted to quickly migrate their large game collection with ratings IGDB could make it happen a lot easier and quicker.

It could then be thrown into the metadata of the game with a text field with like "Age Rating: E-10, Cero-G, Pegi-10" Then have that sort of gate the content for permissions based on user maybe?

I would want to support the use of IGDB as well for ESRB & other age rating systems. Game Vault did and still does things in this manner. I'm a semi-convert from Game Vault. Because Drop has better client support than Game Vault with support for Linux, I'm attempting to gradually switch to it, but it's not easy. Giving up the additional features, such as age ratings, is difficult. I do need my parental controls for the kiddo's.

Although ESRB and other age rating systems, is not listed with all games, the fact that it scrapes a lot of them makes maintenance much simpler.
