- a lot of now-pointless wrappers killed

While a privileged program can open a raw socket, attach some
restrictive filter and drop its privileges (or send the socket to an
unprivileged program through some Unix socket), the filter can still
be removed or modified by the unprivileged program. This commit adds a
socket option to lock the filter (SO_LOCK_FILTER) preventing any
modification of a socket filter program.
This is similar to OpenBSD BIOCLOCK ioctl on bpf sockets, except even
root is not allowed change/drop the filter.
The state of the lock can be read with getsockopt(). No error is
triggered if the state is not changed. -EPERM is returned when a user
tries to remove the lock or to change/remove the filter while the lock
is active. The check is done directly in sk_attach_filter() and
sk_detach_filter() and does not affect only setsockopt() syscall.

Pull big execve/kernel_thread/fork unification series from Al Viro:
"All architectures are converted to new model. Quite a bit of that
stuff is actually shared with architecture trees; in such cases it's
literally shared branch pulled by both, not a cherry-pick.
A lot of ugliness and black magic is gone (-3KLoC total in this one):
- kernel_thread()/kernel_execve()/sys_execve() redesign.
We don't do syscalls from kernel anymore for either kernel_thread()
or kernel_execve():
kernel_thread() is essentially clone(2) with callback run before we
return to userland, the callbacks either never return or do
successful do_execve() before returning.
kernel_execve() is a wrapper for do_execve() - it doesn't need to
do transition to user mode anymore.
As a result kernel_thread() and kernel_execve() are
arch-independent now - they live in kernel/fork.c and fs/exec.c
resp. sys_execve() is also in fs/exec.c and it's completely
architecture-independent.
- daemonize() is gone, along with its parts in fs/*.c
- struct pt_regs * is no longer passed to do_fork/copy_process/
copy_thread/do_execve/search_binary_handler/->load_binary/do_coredump.
- sys_fork()/sys_vfork()/sys_clone() unified; some architectures
still need wrappers (ones with callee-saved registers not saved in
pt_regs on syscall entry), but the main part of those suckers is in
kernel/fork.c now."

There was some desire in large applications using MAP_HUGETLB or
SHM_HUGETLB to use 1GB huge pages on some mappings, and stay with 2MB on
others. This is useful together with NUMA policy: use 2MB interleaving
on some mappings, but 1GB on local mappings.
This patch extends the IPC/SHM syscall interfaces slightly to allow
specifying the page size.
It borrows some upper bits in the existing flag arguments and allows
encoding the log of the desired page size in addition to the *_HUGETLB
flag. When 0 is specified the default size is used, this makes the
change fully compatible.
Extending the internal hugetlb code to handle this is straight forward.
Instead of a single mount it just keeps an array of them and selects the
right mount based on the specified page size. When no page size is
specified it uses the mount of the default page size.
The change is not visible in /proc/mounts because internal mounts don't
appear there. It also has very little overhead: the additional mounts
just consume a super block, but not more memory when not used.
I also exported the new flags to the user headers (they were previously
under __KERNEL__). Right now only symbols for x86 and some other
architecture for 1GB and 2MB are defined. The interface should already
work for all other architectures though. Only architectures that define
multiple hugetlb sizes actually need it (that is currently x86, tile,
powerpc). However tile and powerpc have user configurable hugetlb
sizes, so it's not easy to add defines. A program on those
architectures would need to query sysfs and use the appropiate log2.

Always equal to task_pt_regs(current); defined only when we are in
signal delivery. It may be different from current_pt_regs() - e.g.
architectures like m68k may have pt_regs location on exception
different from that on a syscall and signals (just as ptrace handling)
may happen on exceptions as well as on syscalls.
When they are equal, it's often better to have signal_pt_regs
defined (in asm/ptrace.h) as current_pt_regs - that tends to be
optimized better than default would be. However, optimisation is
the only reason why we might want an arch-specific definition;
if current_pt_regs() and task_pt_regs(current) have different
values, the latter one is right.

In order to promote interoperability between userspace tracers and ftrace,
add a trace_clock that reports raw TSC values which will then be recorded
in the ring buffer. Userspace tracers that also record TSCs are then on
exactly the same time base as the kernel and events can be unambiguously
interlaced.
Tested: Enabled a tracepoint and the "tsc" trace_clock and saw very large
timestamp values.

The SO_ATTACH_FILTER option is set only. I propose to add the get
ability by using SO_ATTACH_FILTER in getsockopt. To be less
irritating to eyes the SO_GET_FILTER alias to it is declared. This
ability is required by checkpoint-restore project to be able to
save full state of a socket.
There are two issues with getting filter back.
First, kernel modifies the sock_filter->code on filter load, thus in
order to return the filter element back to user we have to decode it
into user-visible constants. Fortunately the modification in question
is interconvertible.
Second, the BPF_S_ALU_DIV_K code modifies the command argument k to
speed up the run-time division by doing kernel_k = reciprocal(user_k).
Bad news is that different user_k may result in same kernel_k, so we
can't get the original user_k back. Good news is that we don't have
to do it. What we need to is calculate a user2_k so, that
reciprocal(user2_k) == reciprocal(user_k) == kernel_k
i.e. if it's re-loaded back the compiled again value will be exactly
the same as it was. That said, the user2_k can be calculated like this
user2_k = reciprocal(kernel_k)
with an exception, that if kernel_k == 0, then user2_k == 1.
The optlen argument is treated like this -- when zero, kernel returns
the amount of sock_fprog elements in filter, otherwise it should be
large enough for the sock_fprog array.

Pull third pile of kernel_execve() patches from Al Viro:
"The last bits of infrastructure for kernel_thread() et.al., with
alpha/arm/x86 use of those. Plus sanitizing the asm glue and
do_notify_resume() on alpha, fixing the "disabled irq while running
task_work stuff" breakage there.
At that point the rest of kernel_thread/kernel_execve/sys_execve work
can be done independently for different architectures. The only
pending bits that do depend on having all architectures converted are
restrictred to fs/* and kernel/* - that'll obviously have to wait for
the next cycle.
I thought we'd have to wait for all of them done before we start
eliminating the longjump-style insanity in kernel_execve(), but it
turned out there's a very simple way to do that without flagday-style
changes."

Patches from David Howells <dhowells@redhat.com>:
This is to complete part of the UAPI disintegration for which the
preparatory patches were pulled recently.
Note that there are some fixup patches which are at the base of the
branch aimed at you, plus all arches get the asm-generic branch merged in too.
* 'disintegrate-asm-generic' of git://git.infradead.org/users/dhowells/linux-headers:
UAPI: (Scripted) Disintegrate include/asm-generic
UAPI: Fix conditional header installation handling (notably kvm_para.h on m68k)
c6x: remove c6x signal.h
UAPI: Split compound conditionals containing __KERNEL__ in Arm64
UAPI: Fix the guards on various asm/unistd.h files

Ease the deployment of clkdev by providing a default asm/clkdev.h for
use if the arch does not have an include/asm/clkdev.h.
Due to limitations in Kbuild we manually add clkdev.h to all
architectures that don't have one rather than having the header appear
by default.

Make default just return 0. The current default (checking
TIF_POLLING_NRFLAG) is taken to architectures that need it;
ones that don't do polling in their idle threads don't need
to defined TIF_POLLING_NRFLAG at all.
ia64 defined both TS_POLLING (used by its tsk_is_polling())
and TIF_POLLING_NRFLAG (not used at all). Killed the latter...

Use the mapping of Elf_[SPE]hdr, Elf_Addr, Elf_Sym, Elf_Dyn, Elf_Rel/Rela,
ELF_R_TYPE() and ELF_R_SYM() to either the 32-bit version or the 64-bit version
into asm-generic/module.h for all arches bar MIPS.
Also, use the generic definition mod_arch_specific where possible.
To this end, I've defined three new config bools:
(*) HAVE_MOD_ARCH_SPECIFIC
Arches define this if they don't want to use the empty generic
mod_arch_specific struct.
(*) MODULES_USE_ELF_RELA
Arches define this if their modules can contain RELA records. This causes
the Elf_Rela mapping to be emitted and allows apply_relocate_add() to be
defined by the arch rather than have the core emit an error message.
(*) MODULES_USE_ELF_REL
Arches define this if their modules can contain REL records. This causes
the Elf_Rel mapping to be emitted and allows apply_relocate() to be
defined by the arch rather than have the core emit an error message.
Note that it is possible to allow both REL and RELA records: m68k and mips are
two arches that do this.
With this, some arch asm/module.h files can be deleted entirely and replaced
with a generic-y marker in the arch Kbuild file.
Additionally, I have removed the bits from m32r and score that handle the
unsupported type of relocation record as that's now handled centrally.

The following build error occurred during an alpha build:
net/core/sock.c:274:36: error: initializer element is not constant
Dave Anglin says:
> Here is the line in sock.i:
>
> struct static_key memalloc_socks = ((struct static_key) { .enabled =
> ((atomic_t) { (0) }) });
The above line contains two compound literals. It also uses a designated
initializer to initialize the field enabled. A compound literal is not a
constant expression.
The location of the above statement isn't fully clear, but if a compound
literal occurs outside the body of a function, the initializer list must
consist of constant expressions.

After commit ec2212088c ("Disintegrate asm/system.h for Alpha"), the
fpu.h header which we install for userland started depending on
special_insns.h which is not installed.
However, fpu.h only uses that for __KERNEL__ code, so protect the
inclusion the same way to avoid build breakage in glibc:

New helper: current_thread_info(). Allows to do a bunch of odd syscalls
in C. While we are at it, there had never been a reason to do
osf_getpriority() in assembler. We also get "namespace"-aware (read:
consistent with getuid(2), etc.) behaviour from getx?id() syscalls now.
