It's amazing that this driver ever worked, but now that x86 doesn't allow USB data to be sent off of the stack, it really does not work at all. Fix this up by properly allocating the data for the small "commands" that get sent to the device off of the stack. We do this for one command by having a whole urb just for ack messages, as they can be submitted in interrupt context, so we can not use usb_bulk_msg(). But the poweron command can sleep (and does), so use usb_bulk_msg() for that transfer. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
