eb09749a72 Bug 1554525 - [Wayland] Implement WindowBackBufferDMABuf backend for Wayland renderer, r=jhorak 
- Rename recent WindowBackBuffer class to WindowBackBufferShm to clearly state that it uses Shm memory to store the pixel buffer.
- Implement WindowBackBufferDMABuf which stores pixel data in GPU memory in WaylandDMABufSurface object.
- Use WaylandDMABufSurface as a wayland backend when DMABuf is available and gfx.wayland_dmabuf_backend.enabled is set.
- Implement WindowImageSurface which temporary stores front buffer pixel data. It's used when front buffer is used by compositor and we want to draw.
  Instead of the front/back buffer flip and read-back data from front buffer, don't flip, store the drawing and draw the pixels when compositor
  releases the front buffer.

This patch introduces a new module in widget that implements a simple API to
retrieve system information about a process and its threads.

This function is wrapped into ChromeUtils.RequestProcInfo to return information
about processes started by Firefox.

The use case for this API is to monitor Firefox resources usage in projects
like the battery usage done by the data science team.

3ddcfd71a8 Bug 1507644 - Remove dubious test in widget/gtk/moz.build. r=chmanchester 
The intent of the test is to barf at configure time when the target
system doesn't use the glibc. The reason behind this is that the setup
with the mozwayland stub library relies on the dynamic linking order
the glibc uses.

However, the test checks GLIB_LIBS, which is the result of pkg-config
--libs for *GLIB*, not glibc, and all Gtk builds use glib, irrespective
of the libc in use. Practically speaking, this means the error branch
can't ever be taken... except on artifact builds, because we don't run
pkg-config tests there.

The dynamic linking order problem only really matter when wayland is
enabled at runtime, which it isn't by default. We'll eventually have to
sort it out for tier 3 platforms, but the current moz.build doesn't do
anything for them anyways.

f0ee1746ef Bug 1472276 - Make -moz-cellhighlight distinct from Highlight and -moz-field r=karlt 
Since focused+selected tree cells will no longer get an outline, we will start using a different background for the unfocused state.
That background needs to be distinct from Highlight, used on selected and focused items
and also distinct from -moz-appearance: listbox, which is used as the box background.

1a8239407b Bug 1418749 - Add a TaskbarProgress implementation for gtk3/x11. r=paolo,karlt 
This adds support for download progress reporting via the XApp
method currently used in the Cinnamon desktop, by establishing a new
X11 window property to be supported/read by the window manager.

for more details.

The property-setting code lives in nsWindow - it's a small and stable
enough chunk that it made more sense to do this than actually depend on
another external library.  As nsWindow is already using x11 calls, this
seemed the safest place for it, without affecting the build.

The TaskbarProgress instance is initialized via the DownloadsTaskbar
js module, and is handed a pointer to the current main window to call
SetProgress on.  Most of the javascript side of this is in line with
how the other platforms are handled.

Without a supporting window manager/desktop environment (currently just
Cinnamon/Muffin 3.6,) the simplest way to observe working behavior is
by calling 'xprop -spy' on the browser window being testing and watching
for updates during a download.

a65c7eb6a0 Bug 1409707 - [Wayland] - provide library shell, r=jhorak 
We don't add build-time dependency on Wayland libraries; that allows Wayland enabled Firefox
builds to run on systems without Wayland support.

We also can't dlsym() Wayland symbols directly from libwayland-client.so library as we miss
global data entries referenced by code at wayland-client.h then.

As a partial solution (for glibc systems only) we create dummy libwayland-client.so library
implementation and place it *after* Gtk+ 3.0 libraries at linking time.

It fixes build-time dependencies (we link against our libwayland-client.so library).
Run-time dependency is resolved by ld.so - when Gtk+ 3.0 libraries are linked with
system libwayland-client.so library, wayland symbols are pulled from there instead
from our dummy libwayland-client.so library.

When Gtk+ 3.0 is not linked with system libwayland-client.so it means we're running
on system without Wayland support. Our dummy libwayland-client.so implementation
is used (symbols are pulled run-time from there) and Firefox Wayland support is
disabled then.

a1f2e12af8 Bug 1338004 - Add headless browser mode. r=jrmuizel, r=ted 
Supports creating a windowless browser on Linux without an X server. Most of the
changes are just adding branches to avoid calls in to GTK which calls
into X. Some of the bigger additions were adding a separate headless widget
which implements just enough to render a page. A headless look and
feel were also added since there are many calls into GTK in the platform
specific one.
