d2ebbb38df Bug 1358815 - remove sync reflow from find bar initialization, r=jaws 
This removes the sync reflow from almost all cases. The only case where we keep it is when a keypress
caught in content triggers a sync message to the parent process. We should clean this up in bug 1371523.

I've tried to fix the tests, but a lot of them seem to be disabled anyway...

8a6f97c45c Bug 1442302 - Remove placesOverlay.xul. r=Gijs,mak,standard8 
The overlay was responsible for script loading and defining three elements
(bhTooltip, placesCommands, placesContext). In the majority of places where
the overlay was included only part of it was used. To remove the overlay, the
elements were each split into include files and moved into where they
were used. For the scripts, a JS file was added that defines all the lazy
modules and then this script, globalOverlay.js and utilityOverlay.js were
inlined to everywhere that would have included them from the overlay.

25d47480bb Bug 1443749 only reload sidebar when the url has changed r=kmag 
Regression from bug 1398713.  Before that, we reloaded the entire webext-panel.xul if the
sidebar changed.  This verifies we don't reload unecessarily as well as discards
the browser to force a runtime disconnect for the extension if it does change.

10af740779 Bug 1427186 - stop ever showing 'new tab' as a title for about:privatebrowsing in private windows, r=dao 
There are 3 issues here:
- the runtime changing of the title causes issues where the content title is
  not set. This is fixed by setting it to the private title by default;
  there is very little (if any) UI that allows users to even open
  about:privatebrowsing in 'normal' windows so we care a lot less about
  flicker there. To be able to include this title in the markup, we switched
  to a dtd.
- the 'empty tab' title we set on the tab initially is set when the tab is
  created. This has been updated to check for private windows, and default to
  'Private Browsing' instead. This will obviously also affect other new tabs
  in private browsing, but that seems desirable/consistent.
- Likewise, we use this title when updating a tab's title that we don't yet
  have a content title for (which can still happen while about:privatebrowsing
  is loading because e10s), and so that is updated, too.

239dd9178f Bug 1437324 - Wrap popup permission indicator text in the Site Identity Panel when it exceeds the width of the panel. r=johannh 
textContent is used to set the indicator label text here instead of the value attribute because the text set using the value attribute does not wrap when it exceeds the width of the panel, which in turn pushes the menulist and half of the indicator text out of view.

6751283238 Bug 1443229 - follow-up: use correct checkbox state, r=jaws 
It seems `doCommand` runs through a different codepath than just clicking the checkbox,
and as a result the outcome of the command handler is different that way.

This aligns the automated test closer to what happens when you 'manually'
click the checkbox, and fixes the bug in the command handler.

2961eba0d6 Bug 1436423 - Reduce the schedule pressure limit closer to the values that users are reporting. r=mconley 
Note that this value, 300, is still far above the 95% threshold that telemetry is reporting (59 milliseconds) so this won't be noticeable to most users. The > 1% of users who are having this issue will benefit greatly from this change.

ea6f3d4226 Bug 1442850 - Update how history mode and cookie lifetime controls interact to fit our new preferences UI. r=Gijs 
We recently updated the cookie settings in about:preferences to live outside
of the history mode settings, but did not change the way that changes to history
mode (toggling the privatebrowsing.autostart pref) reflected in the cookies section.

This patch takes care of that by moving the cookie related pieces out of the code
that sets history settings and makes sure that the respective functions get called
in all appropriate cases.

I also moved some site data settings code to be closer to the cookies code.

33b62eabb7 Bug 1442187: Wait until next tick after popupshown before resolving show(). r=Gijs 
With the migration of Promise microtasks to the main microtask queue, promise
resolution handlers are now called immediately after any JS event listener
returns. The result of this is that in the case of the show() method, the
resolution handlers now run before the view's own popupshown handlers run and
the view is set active, which breaks handlers which expect it to act more
sensibly.

By deferring the resolution until the next tick, the resolution handlers are
called when the view is visible and in a consistent state.

237bd0a1f9 Bug 1434590 - Re-enabled browser_ext_tabs_lastAccessed.js test on Windows. r=jmaher 
This test has been disabled because it was failing intermittently with a pretty high
frequency on the Windows platform, the reasons behind the failures have been fixed
in Bug 1435100.

77ac1fd5c8 Bug 1441378 - Replace baseMenuOverlay.xul with inlining and preprocessing. r=Gijs 
The overlay defined two elements (helpMenu, menu_ToolsPopup) for all
platforms and three others (windowMenu, baseMenuCommandSet, baseMenuKeyset)
that were MacOS only. The two all platform elements and windowMenu were only
used once and inlined into browser-menubar.inc. The rest of the MacOS only
elements were conditionally inlined into browser-sets.inc.

845ef57dd6 Bug 1425462 When reducing the precision of timestamps, also apply fuzzytime to them r=bkelly 
Fuzzytime deterministically generates a random midpoint between two clamped values,
and if the unreduced timestamp is above the midpoint, the time is rounded upwards.
This allows safe time jittering to occur, as time will never go backwards on a given
timeline.

It _is_ possible for time to go backwards when comparing different (but related)
timelines, such as a relative timeline in one page (with its own
performance.timeOrigin) and a relative timeline in an iframe or Worker (which
also has its own performance.timeOrigin). This is the same behavior as the 2ms timer
reduction we previously landed; jitter doesn't make this any better or worse.
