9a7848690a Fix for bug 272369 
`firefox -register` results in SIGSEGV on s390(x)

The patch reverts the problematic parts of the earlier fix attempt, and uses compiler options to make GCC 3.4 behave as the assembly stubs expect:
-fno-strict-aliasing
  (several of the routines violate C aliasing rules)
-fno-inline
  (so that the InvokeByIndex function allocates a stack frame)
-fomit-frame-pointer
  (so that %r11 is available for allocation, otherwise we might not be able to satisfy 6 inputs + 6 clobbers in GPRs)
-mbackchain
  (so that xptcstubs has the backchain available)

d9626f6746 Add support for using gcc's visibility pragma to treat all function and method declarations as "hidden" unless declared otherwise. Create wrappers for system headers that cause them to be treated as default-visibility declarations. 21dccaeace Fix theme switching bugs related to insufficient change handling when entry points to themes are stylesheet links (processing instructions or XBL stylesheet elements) or xul:image src attributes by giving the chrome: protocol its own URL implementation that remembers the URL to which the chrome: URL was resolved and uses that resolved URL as part of equality testing. 2a500b8d07 Reduce string copying and allocation in the parser by only copying the scanner buffer when we need to mutate the string. Allow a nsDependentString / nsDependentSubstring to be created without being bound to anything. Move StripChar() onto nsSubstring from nsString. 29c70cffe8 Reduce do_GetService code bloat further by adding specialized assignment to nsCOMPtr and providing a version with no error pointer.
