adc89eea34 Bug 1251150. Add crash annotations if image visibility is re-entering. r=mats
The previous annotations only checked if the re-entrancy happened via DecrementVisibleCount.

The check in RebuildApproximateFrameVisibility is not needed because we add a check in DoUpdateApproximateFrameVisibility.

The check in ClearApproximatelyVisibleFramesList is not needed because we add checks in DoUpdateApproximateFrameVisibility and Destroy. The other caller, ClearApproximateFrameVisibilityVisited, is covered because it is only called from DoUpdateApproximateFrameVisibility.

3836b7c35b Bug 1258017 - Redesign and simplify rule tree GC. r=dbaron
The basic idea here is as follows:
* Rule nodes are reference-counted, but releasing them adds them to a linked
  list rather than freeing them. This allows for the reuse that motivated the
  original GC scheme.
* We get rid of the marking, and instead rely on the reference count.
* Sweeping no longer requires a complicated traversal. We just pop items
  off the free list until it's empty. When a child is destroyed, its parent
  may go onto the free list.
* We remove special handling for the root node, and use a regular reference-counted
  edge from the style set.
* The free list automatically asserts that it's empty (meaning all nodes have been
  freed) in its destructor, which runs when the style set is destroyed.
* We get rid of the list of style context roots on the style set. We still need
  a count though, because of the HasCachedStyleData check.

6181d95afb Bug 1256589 part.4 Move the implementation of PreventDefault() and add PreventDefaultBeforeDispatch() from dom::Event to WidgetEvent r=smaug
mDefaultPreventedByChrome is hacky. When PresShell handles Escape key events in fullscreen mode, it prevents default of every Escape key events and dispatch it only into chrome. After that, it check mDefaultPreventedByChrome if at least one call of preventDefault() occurred in chrome. Therefore, if we shouldn't set both mDefaultPreventedByChrome and mDefaultPreventedByContent to true before dispatching an event. This the reason why we need a special method, PreventDefaultBeforeDispatch() is needed for setting only mDefaultPrevented to true.

Pings are sent in the implementations of the nsISelectionController methods
ScrollLine, ScrollPage, ScrollCharacter, and CompleteScroll. It is assumed
that these methods are triggered by keyboard input.

A small number of false positives can occur if these methods are called
in response to something other than keyboard input; this is considered
acceptable.

0beafc0ac8 Bug 591737 - Avoid dispatch mouse double click to content not in doc. r=smaug
When double-clicking on a default anonymous <summary> element, the first
eMouseClick will make the summary element being removed from the
document. This generates an assert in
PresShell::HandleEventWithTarget().

To prevent this assert, ensure the mouseContent is in document before
dispatching the eMouseDoubleClick event.

Since GetCrossShadowCurrentDoc() was deprecated, replace it with
GetComposedDoc().

7a8bb45336 Bug 1232577 part 15 - Drop LastStyleUpdateForAllAnimations flag from pres context; r=heycam
nsPresContext contains a mLastStyleUpdateForAllAnimations flag which is simply
used to prevent unnecessarily posting restyles when throttled animations are
already up to date. Since part 13 we now accurately record whether we have
posted a restyle for each throttled animation and only post a restyle if we
have not done so already. As a result, this flag is no longer needed since
calling PostRestyleForThrottledAnimations is effectively a noop when throttled
animations are up-to-date.

4ec53b3bfa Bug 1234725. Don't change the dirty rect to the display port when building display lists for documents. r=mstange
Instead do it when we first encounter the root scroll frame.

Doing this goes back to bug 635053, where we did it because fixed position items weren't getting included. However in bug 974643 we learned that this was wrong. Displayports aren't relevant to fixed pos content, displayports are only relevant to scrolled content. And we set the dirty rects of fixed pos content specially. The only other thing that should be affected is scrollbars, and we already carefully set their dirty rects too.

06e901cb9f Bug 1231550 - Use DrawTarget instead of gfxContext and/or nsRenderingContext in many places in font/text code. r=jfkthame.
AutoTextRun now only needs a DrawTarget instead of an nsRenderingContext, and
similar nsRenderingContext/gfxContext-to-DrawTarget replacements can be
propagated a long way up the call graph. This patch replaces 93 occurrences of
nsRenderingContext and 135 occurrences of gfxContext with DrawTarget; that's
13% of them.

The patch is mostly plumbing changes. A couple of not-entirely-plumbing
changes:

- It adds a comment about the null check in
  gfxGlyphExtents::GetTightGlyphExtentsAppUnits().

- A couple of functions simply had an unused gfxContext or nsRenderingContext
  parameter removed, e.g. SetLineBreaks().

A clear separation is introduced between paths that deal with a root

The only reason we had this in the scrollframe at all was so that it could be

41f35c7496 Bug 1206545 - Initialize AccessibleCaretEventHub in nsCanvasFrame. r=roc
To properly initialize AccessibleCaretEventHub, both canvas frame and
its anonymous mCustomContentContainer are required to successfully
insert anonymous caret elements.

However, if <html> has "display: none",
nsCSSFrameConstructor::ConstructDocElementFrame() will return early in
[1] without constructing mCustomContentContainer. Thus,
AccessibleCaretEventHub will fail to initialize in [2] due to null
mCustomContentContainer.

By moving AccessibleCaretEventHub::Init() to
nsCanvasFrame::CreateAnonymousContent(), we can guarantee that
mCustomContentContainer is constructed before initializing
AccessibleCaretEventHub.

a37228e1fe Bug 1207944 (part 4) - Use SetColor(const Color&) when setting from an nscolor. r=jwatt.
In various places SetColor() gets passed an nscolor. These are converted
(either implicitly or explicitly) to a gfxRBGA, and then to a gfx::Color.

This patch changes all these cases to avoid the middle step, by (a)
constructing a gfx::Color directly instead of an nscolor, or (b) by converting
an nscolor with Color::FromABGR().

d65e0109bc Bug 1188251 part 6 - Unify FlushAnimations and FlushTransitions; r=dholbert
The implementations of FlushAnimations and FlushTransitions should now be all
but equivalent so this patch combines them into a single implementation on
CommonAnimationManager.

Regarding some of the minor differences between the two methods:

* The combined implementation drops the check for an empty list of collections
  found only in FlushTransitions. This seems like a very minor optimization
  that could possibly cause us to fail to unregister from the refresh driver
  if we forgot to do so when removing the last collection.

* The combined implementation uses the loop implementation from FlushAnimations
  since it is more compact.

This patch also removes the extra nested scope since it doesn't seem necessary.

c7db517bd2 Bug 1180125 part 7 - Queue transition events from CSSTransition::Tick; r=dbaron
This patch moves the logic for queueing events out of the logic for flushing
transitions making it a separate step. It still doesn't delay the dispatch of
those events into a separate step, however. That is done in a subsequent patch.

This patch also makes sure to clear any queued events when the nsPresShell that
owns the transition manager is destroyed. We don't expect CSSTransition::Tick to
be called anywhere except nsTransitionManger::FlushTransitions so there
shouldn't be any orphaned events but for completeness it seems best to add this
now. (Later, when we tick transitions from their timeline we will need this.)

This patch introduces a separate flag to CSSTransition for tracking if a
transition is newly-finished so we can correctly dispatch the transitionend
event. Although, this may seem to be redundant with the "IsFinishedTransition"
we also track, that state will soon be removed in bug 1181392 and hence this
flag will be needed then.

Note that Animation already has flags mIsPreviousStateFinished and
mFinishedAtLastComposeStyle which would appear to be similar however,

- mIsPreviousStateFinished will be removed in bug 1178665 and is updated more
  often than we queue events so it is not useful here.
- mFinishedAtLastComposeStyle is used to determine if we can throttle a style
  update and is also updated more frequently than we queue events and hence
  can't be used here.

Once we guarantee one call to Tick() per frame we may be able to simplify this
by tracking "state on last tick" but for now we need this additional flag on
CSSTransition. CSSAnimation has a similar flag for this
(mPreviousPhaseOrIteration) which we may be able to unify at the same point.

0d79f0c537 Bug 1180125 part 1 - Queue and dispatch CSS animation events as a separate step; r=dbaron
This patch prepares the way for script-generated events by making
event dispatch a separate process that happens after sampling animations.
This will allow us to sample animations from their associated timeline
(removing the need for a further manager to tracker script-generated
animations).

Furthermore, once we sample animations from timelines the order in which they
are sampled is likely to be more or less random so by making event dispatch at
separate step, we have an opportunity to sort the events and dispatch in
a consistent and sensible order. It also ensures that event callbacks will
not be run until all animations (including transitions) have been updated
ensuring they see a consistent view of timing properties.

This patch only affects event handling for CSS animations. Transitions will
be dealt with in a subsequent patch.
