5b6ae6e571 Rename {nsIDocument,nsIDocumentObserver,nsIFrame}::ContentChanged to CharacterDataChanged, since that's the only thing it's used for. Replace its nsISupports* parameter with a PRBool, since we don't need to allocate an object to pass a boolean parameter. dfe3513814 Change all callers of nsIPresContext::GetShell() to use the non-refcounting versions. Most callers now use PresShell(), a few that were checking for null conditions are using GetPresShell() -- this will be remedied once we can ensure that a prescontext never has a null pres shell. 7eecd9a0ef Bug 165149. Make children of a scrolled element inherit style directly from the element instead of via the scrolled frames.     - Modified InsertFromDrop() so that it prevents a drop from
      happening in a -moz-user-select:all subtree. (Temporary
      workaround to avoid bug 195957 and bug 195959)

e18a7c254c mach-o builds define both XP_UNIX *and* XP_MACOSX so we need to add a !XP_MACOSX to the XP_UNIX ifdef to avoid repeating a chunk of code twice and crashing.

03ace271f0 Add CPP_THROW_NEW macro to the build system. This macro should be used when defining a local |operator new| function. It will be set to an empty throw function by default on all platforms except mac CW builds. This will allow us to not crash on systems that expect |operator new| to throw an exception by default and will suppress compiler warnings about how |operator new| should throw an exception instead of returning NULL.

Fix block-within-inline case (bug 129350) using a special-previous-sibling frame property and ensuring that NS_FRAME_IS_SPECIAL is copied when frames are split.   - Added new utility method GetOriginToViewOffset().

  - Modified nsPresShell::HandleEvent(), nsBoxFrame::GetFrameForPoint(),
    and nsContainerFrame::GetFrameForPointUsing() to factor in the
    offset from GetOriginToViewOffset() to insure that the point
    used is always transformed into the correct coordinate system.

Make the line list doubly linked and access it through a list class and iterators.
Stop recomputing margins on all of the children of each block in the reflow chain (which causes O(N^2) state recovery during incremental reflow).  Instead, add a second dirty bit to the lines and walk backwards through the line list to recompute vertical margins only when either dirty bit is set and the previous line was not reflowed.  Add nsIFrame::IsEmpty to identify frames through which margins collapse.
Fix O(N^2) propagation of float damage by maintaining a set of intervals damaged by floats (bug 61962) and be sure to damage the correct areas (bug 48138).
Introduce nsCollapsingMargin to do correct collapsing of combinations of positive and negative margins (bug 50142).
Clean up some odds and ends and fix another smaller O(N^2) problem in nsBlockFrame::AddFrames.

99666eed8c This checkin enables mozilla to support the printing of selection, the printing of page ranges, and 
the printing of headers and footers.
Printing of selection is implemented by the frames figuring out if they are in the selection and painting
if they or not they they don't paint. This also only allows the printing of the first page of
selections, alothough it is well documented where this is implemeted so it can be removed.

Made GetSelectionController() a public method on the nsIFrame interface,
so that nsEventStateManager::GenerateDragGesture() has access to it. This

bf2b8a41ed Event Target Debugging (b=18175), a debugging feature to help with fixing bugs where events are going to the wrong elements. It shows (like Visual Debugging) which frame is receiving events, and one can therefore move the mouse over the page to see what frame gets events. All the code is #ifdef NS_DEBUG. However, it is not yet hooked up to the viewer menu (to be checked in later).

29963d8875 Changed nsTextFrame to be derived from nsFrame instead of nsSplittableFrame. 
nsTextFrame now has only a next-in-flow pointer and no prev-in-flow pointer.
Subclass nsContinuingTextFrame is used for continuing text frames; it has a
prev-in-flow pointer. This saves 4 bytes
