6ea631e28c Checking in for bug 50742, this change removes the use of XIF in mozilla and replaces the XIF converter with a HTML (and XML) serializer. 
Contextual information added to HTML copy and intelligence added to HTML paste in the editor (fixes bugs 47014, 50568 and 46554, and partly (at least) fixes bug 53188).

a83db20ddf Fix for bug 49187. ViewSource now emits HTML. The VIEW_SOURCE_HTML #define at the top of nsViewSourceHTML.cpp and nsLayoutDLF.cpp allows us to switch back to XML if necessary. The VIEW_SOURCE_COLORING #define in nsViewSourceHTML.cpp allows us to turn on source coloring. ee4b181034 Changing the way content elements store their name information, previously the elements generally stored a name atom and a namespace ID, now they store a pointer to a shared structure containing the name atom, the prefix atom and the namespace ID. This structure is shared between nodes with unique names (ie same name, prefix and ns ID) within a document. Documents now hold a hash table of the names in the document. The changes to mozilla/rdf are not reviewed but they are approved by waterson@netscape.com and the changes to mozilla/layout are reviewed by buster@netscape.com. 2000-05-10 13:13:39 +00:00

8754202470 General cleanup of the shared library rules. 
Quick fix for bug #36844.
Since people kept forgetting to wrap SHARED_LIBRARY_LIBS inside MKSHLIB_FORCE_ALL & MKSHLIB_UNFORCE_ALL pairs, we now handle it in rules.mk.  Same goes for making $(SHARED_LIBRARY) dependent upon $(SHARED_LIBRARY_LIBS).

1395e7b219 Adding the architecture for an external transformation engine to hook into Raptor's layout process. One way this architecture can be used is for doing XSL transforms using a 3rd party component that implements the XSL processor. More details will be posted in mozilla.layout. 
Currently enabled on windows only.  Set MOZ_XSL to 1 in your environment and build mozilla/layout.

683648b5be Akkana set up a service for encoding a document. 
This checkin adds the implementations for encoding
HTML and plain text:

nsTextEncoder::EncodeToString(..)
nsHTMLEncoder::EncodeToStream(..)

Hooked these services into the nsHTMLEditor implemenation

We probably want to update the clipboard code to
use the same pattern as in nsHTMLEditor.cpp

30635270f8 Add --enable-debug=module1,module2 to selective turn on debugging. 
Remove --enable-dom, because Mariner is dead (sob).
Rename some MODULE= lines to make the afore-mentioned --enable-debug
technique actually useful.  Feel free to recategorize.
Fix libraptorhtml.so link bogosity by disabling shared lib generation for the
sub-archives (libraptor*_s.a), so that we can put bin before lib in the
library path and still get the right effect.  We could disable static-lib
generation in most other places and cut the build time down a fair bit, too.

65038e9551 Removing static makefiles as a part of the transition to Autoconf. I have taken great 
care to only remove makefiles affailiated with building nglayout. I have also verified that
the build at this point in time succesfully builds with autoconf.

If you must recover one of these makefiles, you can use the static tag STATIC_MAKEFILES.
