57d0c0d658 Bug 1077849 - Use eRestyle_ForceDescendants for all cases of rebuilding the rule tree. r=heycam 
Bug 931668 added the eRestyle_ForceDescendants case for all cases that
go through RebuildAllStyleData, but there is another case that calls
DoRebuildAllStyleData directly, and we should cover that too.

This is needed because when we're rebuilding the rule tree, we need to
create new style contexts for all frames.

I don't know of any bugs caused by this, but it seems worth fixing.

cf85a7879b Bug 1046055 part 5 - Check for current animations from ActiveLayerTracker::IsStyleAnimated; r=dbaron 
Within the context of determining of a layer is active, we should only consider
an element animated if it has an animation that is yet to finish, i.e. a current
animation. Animations that have finished should not cause a layer to be active
(even if they are applying a forwards fill).

This patch makes that change by calling
nsLayoutUtils::HasCurrentAnimationsForProperty instead of
nsLayoutUtils::HasAnimations.

We can no longer call FontFaceSet::DestroyUserFontSet (what used to be
nsUserFontSet::Destroy) in nsPresContext::FlushUserFontSet, since we
need to keep tracking FontFace objects even if the list of @font-face
rules is empty.

This (a) moves ownership of the gfxUserFontSet into FontFaceSet, (b) moves
nearly all of the functionality of nsUserFontSet into FontFaceSet, and (c)

of its virtual functions and delegate them to the FontFaceSet.

c3dee3558d Bug 1072724 - Support showing more information about style structs in restyle logs. r=dbaron 
The MOZ_DEBUG_RESTYLE_STRUCTS environment variable can be set to a comma-
separated list of style struct names.  When restyle logging is enabled,
this will cause the style context tree -- showing cached style struct
pointers for those structs specified -- to be logged before each
individual restyle is processed.  It will also show the struct pointer
values involved when swapping structs between style contexts.

For example, set MOZ_DEBUG_RESTYLE_STRUCTS=Font,UserInterface to show
the cached nsStyleFont and nsStyleUserInterface pointers on the style
contexts involved in the restyle process.

Set the MOZ_DEBUG_RESTYLE environment variable and every restyle will have
detailed logging printed to stderr. By default, restyles for animations are
not logged; you can include them by also setting MOZ_DEBUG_RESTYLE_ANIMATIONS.

If you wish to limit restyle logging to a particular change, you can call
nsPresContext::StartRestyleLogging() and nsPresContext::StopRestyleLogging()
at appropriate points. (You might want to add a couple of helper methods
temporarily on nsIDocument and then expose them to your page with Web IDL
to make them easier to call.) You do not need to have set MOZ_DEBUG_RESTYLE
for this to work.

c34ad0fe01 Bug 1071367 - Fix the composition bounds for the root content document on OS X. r=tn 
According to roc the content viewer position doesn't mean much; only the size is
set to anything meaningful. Therefore using the position from the content viewer
bounds is not a good idea, and we should use the position from the frame bounds
instead. This patch also changes GetContentViewerBounds to GetContentViewerSize
so that it's harder to accidentally use the position in other places.

4f6e5fae3b Bug 977991 patch 5 - Add eRestyle_ChangeAnimationPhase to switch between the with-animation and without-animation styles. r=birtles 
This is an additional bit on nsRestyleHint that says that the restyling
operation should also perform all the work needed to switch between
style-without-animation and style-with-animation (based on
nsPresContext::IsProcessingAnimationStyleChange).  These concepts will
go away in bug 960465.

Note that we don't want this behavior for the animation-only style
update code (bug 996796, etc.), and I wanted to make this explicit so
that it was clear when it was happening, and so that it was clear what
code should be removed when we git rid of it.

This is the workaround needed to land bug 977991 prior to bug 960465.
(I think there's also a minor dependency in the other direction, so we
need a workaround one way or the other.)

Note that this depends on bug 1057231.

0b5209fe1d Bug 977991 patch 4 - Ensure we don't try to use the style attribute optimization on pseudo-elements. r=birtles 
This is needed because patch 1 and patch 3 did not add a mechanism that
allows restyling pseudo-elements, which would be substantially more work
and very little use (since the only case in which they have style
attributes is for our internal use on the ::-moz-color-swatch
pseudo-element).

RestyleUndisplayedChildren does not need the same fix because it's only
used on elements, and never on pseudo-elements or anonymous boxes.

cf461aae31 Bug 977991 patch 3 - Add ability for RuleNodeWithReplacement to replace the style attribute rule and its important rule. r=birtles 
This allows posting a restyle that says that only the rule(s) from the
StyleAttrSheet cascade level will be replaced, which avoids running
selector matching.

Part 4 will ensure that we only invoke this code for element styles (and
not pseudo-element or anonymous box styles).  Despite that, I prefer
having the runtime check here as well given that it's a very simple way
to ensure we don't do something silly that might have security
implications.

operators, and allows |= (etc.).

(In the future we should consider converting nsRestyleHint, and probably
also nsChangeHint, to use MOZ_MAKE_ENUM_CLASS_BITWISE_OPERATORS.)

- Extended nsIScrollableFrame and nsGfxScrollFrame to return destination
  of smooth scrolls which are to be animated on the compositor thread.
- Added apz.smooth_scroll_repaint_interval preference.
- Implemented AsyncPanZoomController::PanZoomState::SMOOTH_MSD_SCROLL state
  and AsyncPanZoomController::SmoothScrollAnimation class to animate smooth
  scroll animations on the compositor thread.
- Extended FrameMetrics to report requests for smooth scrolls to be animated
  on the compositor thread and their corresponding destination positions.
- AsyncPanZoomController now checks FrameMetrics for requests to perform
  smooth scrolling on the compositor thread.  It will ensure that they
  are cancelled as needed by mousewheel, touchpanel, keyboard, and
  CSSOM-View instant scrolling DOM methods.
- The layout/generic/test/test_scroll_behavior.html mochitest has been
  commented as depending on Bug 1062609 before being enabled for APZ.

295021d470 Bug 1033679. When we clear frames from the image loader make sure that we also remove the images from the refresh driver. r=khuey 
Normally a frame being destroyed would do this via PresShell::NotifyDestroyingFrame -> ImageLoader::DropRequestsForFrame but when we are tearing down the whole frame tree we skip per frame notifications like that for perf reasons. So we now make sure to do it when clearing out frames wholesale.

We also need to pass a prescontext pointer to ClearFrames because the ImageLoader only has a document pointer, and by that point in the presshell destruction sequence the presshell pointer on the document has been cleared.

9edca3c9e4 Bug 1022818 - Part 2: Implement Smooth Scrolling. r=bz 
- Updated ScrollTo method in nsGlobalWindow to accept a
  mozilla::dom::ScrollOptions parameter to select between the instant
  and smooth MSD motion.
- Updated WebIDL binding boilerplate scrolling functions in nsGlobalWindow
  to pass the correct value of mozilla::dom::ScrollBehavior to the
  implementation and functions, activating smooth scrolling.
- These functions will need to be updated again to support the scroll-behavior
  CSS property in Bug 1010538.

7465178016 Bug 1057129 patch 3 - Post restyles from CheckAnimationRule directly to pseudo-elements. r=birtles 
This matches patch 2, and also fixes an incorrect use of eRestyle_Self
on the parents of pseudo-elements in order to restyle those
pseudo-elements, where it would not previously have been effective.

This should all be temporary, since this code can go away with bug
960465, when animation phases are removed.
