It will not affect the runtime or build of other Mozilla platforms since QNX source is not part of Tinderbox builds. None of the changes will affect non-QNX builds in any way. eabi arm assembly didn't warn that a variable was a memory operand so the
newer gcc compilers (e.g. gcc4) started optimizing things away...
I tried to get someone to vouch for this code but the people I poked
never got back to me.

patch which was written for bug 307418
