Follow MSVC as much as possible by requiring proper dllimport/dllexport declarations.
Remove dllimport/dllexport declarations from all nsXPTCStubBase functions and just export the class itself.

* Link non-component libs using -Wl,-enable-runtime-psuedo-relocs to workaround auto-import issues
* the last element of an enum cannot end with a comma
* PRUint16 is not interchangable with PRUnichar nor WCHAR
* cannot take the address of or call ::main() from another c++ function
* Functions declared within |class foo {};| block do not need extra |foo::| qualification
* GCC no longer implements <varargs.h>. Use <stdarg.h> instead

d7aca2a1bb Update module-deps meta files with the latest module data. 
Remove the hardcoded module2dir mapping and use the results from echo-requires-recursive instead.
Add README which briefly explains how module-deps is supposed to work.
Add XSLT hacks to modules.mk.footer.
Add cygdrive hacks to modules.mk.stub.
Force string & embedstring to be built after xpcom since they now live in the xpcom hierarchy.

e952d5249e Enable building a library of Gecko components that can be linked against directly and then registered using the static component loader (bug 207407). dccf8bcbee Add experimental support to the native component loader so that native components can declare what libraries it depends on. (193442) Storing the GRE location in a relative way so that we can change GRE versions between launches assuming that they are compatible (191415). Fixed a bug where we didn't check return from GetLastModification in nsDll::HasChanged. Thank you ajschult@eos.ncsu.edu for pointing out the problem and suggesting a fix. 6de5b59159 Fixing win32 gmake builds lack of debugging information problem by working around a combination MSVC & cygwin make deficiencies: 
* We must use the full path to the source file when calling MSVC so that debugging information shows up in the object files.
* Because of cygwin's use of /cygdrive when using full paths, we must use a cygwin-wrapper script in some cases to allow native win32 programs to use a fully qualified cygwin path.
* We have to call configure using the full path so that $(srcdir) contains the
full path in the Makefiles. The rules have been changed for win32 so that it
always use $(srcdir)/$*.{c,cpp} as the sourcefile name even when the file is in
the cwd.  This works around both the /cygdrive issue and the msvc's path info
optimization.
* We still use the wrapper when calling rc.exe & nsinstall.  nsinstall
frequently takes multiple args and is called all over the tree so changing each
calling site is going to be expensive.	(I'll have to check  the logs again but
I think the rc wrapping can go.)
* nspr & ldap still use the wrappers for all native win32 progs.  Neither nspr
nor ldap uses the acoutput-fast.pl script to speed up the substitution of
@srcdir@ into their Makefiles so, makefile substitution will break if we use
dos-paths.
* In the handful of directories where we copy srcfiles from another directory
in lieu of using VPATHs, we have to now copy those files to $(srcdir) so that
the default rules can find them.

c0ec608df6 Add 'make install' target to build. It's "MRE-friendly". (See http://www.mozilla.org/projects/embedding/MRE.html for details.) 
Changes:
* Added EXTRA_COMPONENTS variable to build.  Use it to automagically install files into the components dir.
* Added SYSINSTALL variable.  Use it install files onto the system.
* Move mozilla-config generation from configure to makefiles
* mozilla-config will now generate paths based upon the MRE-based directory layout.
* Generate mozilla script from template

The installation heirarchy currently looks like:
$prefix -> /bin/mozilla
           /bin/mozilla-config
           /include/mozilla-ver/*
           /lib/mozilla-ver  (mozappdir)
                            /components
                            /res
                            /defaults
                            /chrome

There is preliminary build support for MRE dirs as well though the component manager hasn't had MRE support added yet.

b4bc453a6e Add check for perl api version 5.005 as forced by this jar fiasco. 
Turn on MOZ_DISABLE_JAR_PACKAGING if perl api != 5.005 or zip is not installed.
Turn off the copy feature of make-jars.pl as that doesn't work in the objdir aware version of the make-jars.pl script.

d8cd860ae1 adding GARBAGE_DIRS variable for clobbers... so we can have core directories 
in the tree (and not have it removed during a clobber) if some developer is
foolish enough to create one.
