3f3888d09f Bug 1354641 - adjust the value of spell check heuristics. r=masayuki 
This patch is mainly for adjusting the value of INLINESPELL_CHECK_TIMEOUT
from 50ms to 1ms. The value means how long the main thread is blocked
for spelling check, and 50ms is too long. It causes significant delays
when a rich content document is loading, and the user tries to
type immediately before spell checking is done.

With the INLINESPELL_CHECK_TIMEOUT setting to 1ms, it's possible to be
too short to less powerful machines. Therefore we add
INLINESPELL_MINIMUM_WORDS_BEFORE_TIMEOUT to ensure at least N words were
checked.

45ad5ab207 Bug 1356843 - Fix -Wcomma warning in extensions/spellcheck/src/mozSpellChecker.cpp. r=masayuki 
clang's -Wcomma warning warns about suspicious use of the comma operator such as calling a function for side effects within an expression. Check NS_SUCCEEDED() to use HasMoreElement() in an expression and confirm that it actually returned a legitimate out parameter.

extensions/spellcheck/src/mozSpellChecker.cpp:532:54 [-Wcomma] possible misuse of comma operator here

55e9044079 Bug 1330912 - Part 1. Add async version of SetCurrentDictionary using list. r=Ehsan 
Now, mozInlineSpellChecker::UpdateCurrentDictionary uses several sync IPC message to update spellcheck dictionary.  So I want async IPC to set dictionary.

Also, since nsEditorSpellCheck::DictionaryFetched calls SetCurrentDictionary several times (max: 6 times), so to reduce calls, we should use list of dictionary.

3deb62f2b2 Bug 1344038 - Move the gio protocol handler under netwerk/protocol. r=chmanchester,karlt 
Historically, we had support for some GNOME VFS protocols through the
gnomevfs library, and this was under extension. This may not have been
built by default when it was introduced, but GNOME upstream moved those
things into Gtk itself, and we then got support for the new Gio-based
protocol, similar to what we had through the gnomevfs library.

Time passes, and we switched off the gnomevfs library entirely, and
enabled the Gio-based protocol handlers by default. We then removed
everything related to the gnomevfs library.

Fast forward to now, and disabling Gio support in Firefox just doesn't
make sense, and leaving the gio protocol handler as an extension doesn't
make sense either.

As it is a protocol handler, its natural place is under
netwerk/protocol, which is where we're moving it here.

The netwerk/protocol subdirectories being handled automatically, we
don't need to add the moved directory in any DIRS variable.

0d5232cf03 Bug 1337056 - Part 6: Disable nsPermissionManager::GetEnumerator in the content process, r=kitcambridge 
This property allows enumerating over all permissions. As the content
process no longer has access to all permissions, this method cannot be
correctly implemented in the content process anymore.

Because of that, we now error with NS_ERROR_NOT_AVALIABLE when it is
accessed in the content process.

eac76d9772 Bug 1310845 - Remove support for mozapp iframes; r=fabrice,jryans,baku,mcmanus 
This patch removes support for mozapp iframes, leaving support for
mozbrowser iframes intact.  Some of the code has been rewritten in order
to phrase things in terms of mozbrowser only, as opposed to mozbrowser
or app.  In some places, code that was only useful with apps has been
completely removed, so that the APIs consumed can also be removed.  In
some places where the notion of appId was bleeding out of this API, now
we use NO_APP_ID.  Other notions of appId which were restricted to this
API have been removed.

Other applications allow loading dictionaries from DICPATH, so look

34dcc7b852 Bug 1299384 - Use MOZ_MUST_USE with NS_warn_if_impl(). r=erahm. 
This change avoids lots of false positives for Coverity's CHECKED_RETURN
warning, caused by NS_WARN_IF's current use in both statement-style and
expression-style.

In the case where the code within the NS_WARN_IF has side-effects, I made the
following change.

> NS_WARN_IF(NS_FAILED(FunctionWithSideEffects()));

> Unused << NS_WARN_IF(NS_FAILED(FunctionWithSideEffects()));

In the case where the code within the NS_WARN_IF lacks side-effects, I made the
following change.

> NS_WARNING_ASSERTION(condWithoutSideEffects, "msg");

This has two improvements.
- The condition is not evaluated in non-debug builds.
- The sense of the condition is inverted to the familiar "this condition should
  be true" sense used in assertions.

A common variation on the side-effect-free case is the following.

c2306345d5 Bug 1297658 - Avoid unnecessary checking in memory reporters. r=erahm. 
This patch removes checking of all the callback calls in memory reporter
CollectReport() functions, because it's not useful.

The patch also does some associated clean-up.

- Replaces some uses of nsIMemoryReporterCallback with the preferred
  nsIHandleReportCallback typedef.

- Replaces aCallback/aCb/aClosure with aHandleRepor/aData for CollectReports()
  parameter names, for consistency.

- Adds MOZ_MUST_USE/[must_use] in a few places in nsIMemoryReporter.idl.

- Uses the MOZ_COLLECT_REPORT macro in all suitable places.

Overall the patch reduces code size by ~300 lines and reduces the size of
libxul by about 37 KiB on my Linux64 builds.

Using NS_IMETHOD is the preferred way of marking in-class virtual methods.
Although these transformations add an explicit |virtual|, they are safe --
there's an implicit |virtual| anyway because |override| and |final| only work

In general, using an AutoJSAPI inited with an object is NOT the same as using
AutoSafeJSContext (or AutoJSAPI inited without an object) and then entering the
compartment of the object: the former will report exceptions to the global of
the object as it comes off the stack, while the latter will not.  This only
really matters if we have an object from a window or worker global and hence
might fire error events, or report internal stuff to the web console.

The changes to initing with an object made in this bug are OK for the following
reasons:

1) dom/base/Console.cpp: Always clears its exception before coming off the stack.
2) dom/base/nsDOMClassInfo.cpp: Inits with a non-web global.
3) dom/base/nsFrameMessageManager.cpp: Inits with a non-web global.
4) dom/media/MediaPermissionGonk.cpp: We probably want the caller to notice if
   anything here throws.
5) dom/xbl/nsXBLPrototypeBinding.cpp: Inits with a non-web global.
6) dom/xul/nsXULElement.cpp: Inits with a non-web global.
7) extensions/pref/autoconfig/src/nsJSConfigTriggers.cpp: Inits with a non-web global.
8) ipc/testshell/XPCShellEnvironment.cpp: Inits with a non-web global.

Because --enable-application is the current way to do things, transpose
it to configure.py, but since --enable-application=js doesn't make
sense, make it an alias of a new --enable-project option.

This only partially moves --enable-application out of old-configure.in

When people write:

  array.AppendElement(nsDependentString(...));

(resp. nsDependentCString), it's not clear whether they expect the newly
constructed dependent string to live in the array, or whether they're
just making a nsString-like holder whose contents can be freely copied
into the array's newly-created nsString.  Sometimes the latter is what
you prefer, and sometimes the former.  In all cases, however, the latter
behavior is what you get.

Let's try to make that behavior more explicit by pre-constructing
nsString elements and then using Assign to show that copying is taking
place.  This patch involves no functional change in behavior (it ought
to be epsilon faster due to using AppendElements, rather than repeatedly
calling AppendElement).
