e65d2d2fe5 Eliminate nsIStyleSet as an XPCOM interface, making the implementation internal to layout. Frame constructor ownership moves to the pres shell, and the style set methods that forward to the frame constructor are gone. Rewrote style set sheet add/remove to reduce code size. 0d2808c511 Create a new xpcom obsolete library (and component library). 
Moved nsFileSpec and related classes into this obsolete library.
  Moved nsRegistry and related libreg functionality into the obsolete library.

Updated many callers using the obsolete nsFile spec to use nsIFile and Necko to do file IO.

Combined the following DLLs (source -> dest)
  uriloader -> docshell
  shistory -> docshell
  jsurl -> jsdom
  gkview -> gklayout

Moved nsAdapterEnumerator out of xpcom/ds and into mailnews, since they're the only consumer

Modifed the xpt_link tool so that you can specify a �only include� cid list that can mask CID�s that you are not interested in.

Added build options:
Prevent the building of xpinstall (--disable-xpinstall)
Prevent the building js component loader (--disable-jsloader)
A build option to only build a single profile (--enable-single-profile)
A build flag to only built the required xpfe components (--disable-xpfe-components).

Removal or hiding of unused functions and classes including nsEscape*, nsDequeIterator, nsRecyclingAllocatorImpl, nsDiscriminatedUnion, nsOpaqueKey, nsCRT::strlen, NS_NewCommandLineService

fe53f95e60 Make the CSSLoader correctly order stylesheets as they are dynamically added 
and removed via the DOM.  Clean up the nsIDocument stylesheet accessors.  Clean
up nsIDocumentObserver stylesheet stuff a bit.  Make style sheets visible in
the CSSOM (though not completely accessible) from the moment the load is kicked
off.  Make us have sheet objects that can be manipulated via CSSOM even for

c50ca402ad 1. Converts callers of nsIComponentManagerObsolete to use 
nsIComponentRegistrar.

2. Converts callers of nsComponentManager::AutoRegister to use
nsIComponentRegistrar's autoRegistrar method.

3. Add nsIComponentRegistrar implmentation to nsComponentManagerImpl.

4. Rearrange nsComponentManager.cpp so that related methods are in the same
place.

5. Added a C-style function NS_GetComponentRegistrar so that getting the
registrar is easier in some places.

6. Added a nsISimpleEnumerator interface on PLDHashTableEnumeratorImpl.  in
this way, the same base class can support both old style and new style
enumerations.

7. Fixed a nasty bug where unregistring factories will leave the contract id
hash with a dangling pointer.  Now, when unregister is called we search the
contract id hash for entries which have the given doomned cid and remove them.

a) create a new nsIComponentManager with only four functions on it:
CreateInstance CreateInstanceByContractID GetClassInfo GetClassInfoByContractID.

b) rename the old nsIComponentManager to nsIComponentManagerObsolete.

c) fixes callers which use to access the nsIComponentManager for component
registration functionality.  These callers will temporary use the
nsIComponentManagerObsolete interface.

d) Create a new API NS_GetComponentManager() which mirrors the
NS_GetServiceManager()

e) Perserves the old NS_GetGlobalComponentManager().  Note the cast usage.

4966d85f91 Fixes for printing bugs 84017 and 89151. The fix for bug 84017 removes the need for a resize reflow to get form frame values to print. The restoration of these values into the new frame model is done as part of the initial reflow. a83db20ddf Fix for bug 49187. ViewSource now emits HTML. The VIEW_SOURCE_HTML #define at the top of nsViewSourceHTML.cpp and nsLayoutDLF.cpp allows us to switch back to XML if necessary. The VIEW_SOURCE_COLORING #define in nsViewSourceHTML.cpp allows us to turn on source coloring. ee4b181034 Changing the way content elements store their name information, previously the elements generally stored a name atom and a namespace ID, now they store a pointer to a shared structure containing the name atom, the prefix atom and the namespace ID. This structure is shared between nodes with unique names (ie same name, prefix and ns ID) within a document. Documents now hold a hash table of the names in the document. The changes to mozilla/rdf are not reviewed but they are approved by waterson@netscape.com and the changes to mozilla/layout are reviewed by buster@netscape.com. 2000-05-10 13:13:39 +00:00

8754202470 General cleanup of the shared library rules. 
Quick fix for bug #36844.
Since people kept forgetting to wrap SHARED_LIBRARY_LIBS inside MKSHLIB_FORCE_ALL & MKSHLIB_UNFORCE_ALL pairs, we now handle it in rules.mk.  Same goes for making $(SHARED_LIBRARY) dependent upon $(SHARED_LIBRARY_LIBS).

1395e7b219 Adding the architecture for an external transformation engine to hook into Raptor's layout process. One way this architecture can be used is for doing XSL transforms using a 3rd party component that implements the XSL processor. More details will be posted in mozilla.layout. 
Currently enabled on windows only.  Set MOZ_XSL to 1 in your environment and build mozilla/layout.
