2d066c4cfa fix for bug #158059. if we go to send a message, and the connection gets closed on us 
and we haven't read any bytes, that's an error, and we should let the user know.
(otherwise they think they are sending mail, when they aren't.)

9190a3d74e Patch from bug 87902 to fix SSL/TLS logic. 
- make TLS intolerant server detection over proxies work
  (this bug 87902)
- on connection failure, only retry without TLS when it is really
  likely to help (bug 149910)
- remove obsolete workarounds in SSL i/o layer
  (see removed comments in patch)
- avoid to confuse programmers reading code,
  by renaming TLSStepUp (which means something else)
  to the correct term STARTTLS (what the code is actually doing).
  (As suggested by nelsonb)
- If an invalid or expired etc. server certificate is presented,
  a warning is shown. If the user decides to cancel,
  network activity should stop immediately.
  (we currently warn multiple times) (bug 87209)

03ace271f0 Add CPP_THROW_NEW macro to the build system. This macro should be used when defining a local |operator new| function. It will be set to an empty throw function by default on all platforms except mac CW builds. This will allow us to not crash on systems that expect |operator new| to throw an exception by default and will suppress compiler warnings about how |operator new| should throw an exception instead of returning NULL.

9b0b44963b Fixing bug 144562. Allow ISPs and vendors to set up pre-configured mailnews accounts via prefs. When a proper set of prefs area added to the global prefs file, accounts are set up automatically. On launching mailnews app, Account Wizard will be brought up on identifying invalid accounts so that user information like name and email address can be entered. c0ec608df6 Add 'make install' target to build. It's "MRE-friendly". (See http://www.mozilla.org/projects/embedding/MRE.html for details.) 
Changes:
* Added EXTRA_COMPONENTS variable to build.  Use it to automagically install files into the components dir.
* Added SYSINSTALL variable.  Use it install files onto the system.
* Move mozilla-config generation from configure to makefiles
* mozilla-config will now generate paths based upon the MRE-based directory layout.
* Generate mozilla script from template

The installation heirarchy currently looks like:

           /bin/mozilla-config
           /include/mozilla-ver/*
           /lib/mozilla-ver  (mozappdir)

There is preliminary build support for MRE dirs as well though the component manager hasn't had MRE support added yet.

11951ee4bf Fix for Unicode conversion problem for reply-to header (it removes incorrect/unnecessary conversion). 
For Bcc, it adds to encode the header as MIME to prevent creating header as raw UTF-8.
Also avoids an extra copy for Bcc when the identity is not specified (in nsMsgCompose.cpp).

d2cb3313a4 fix for #121639. get forward as attachment to work for news again.
