c8a8cce6ad Bug 1381427 - Result width should often be constrained by the width of the location bar. r=mak 
This adds an end margin to the location bar search results that matches the end of the input field, unless doing this would be unbalanced with the start margin, in which case a symmetrical margin is chosen. This allows the location bar to be moved to the start of the navigation toolbar to reclaim space for results. This also handles gracefully other customization scenarios like having many icons on the right side of the location bar.

4943ded16b Bug 1403365 - fix intermittent failure for browser_pageinfo_firstPartyIsolation.js. r=baku 
In pageInfo.js, the following line [1] will trigger a media preview
automatically, however this sometimes will also cause intermittent
failures, so I pass a dummy imageElement in it to prevent this.

84b68b502d Bug 1393800 - Have mochitests expecting crashes wait for the crashes to be recorded before clean up; r=mconley 
This patch includes a bunch of somewhat related fixes, these are:

- Ensuring that when a mochitest calls SimpleTest.expectChildProcessCrash()
  the harness will wait for the crashes to be recorded before deleting the
  dump files. This involves a message round-trip between the content and
  parent process so to minimize its performance impact on all the non-crashing
  tests it is done only when required.
- As an additional optimization, the SimpleTest harness will not send a
  message to the content process anymore whenever it receives an
  ipc:content-shutdown event, instead it does it only for abnormal shutdowns.
- Manually fixing remaining mochitests causing crashes to wait for crashes to
  be recorded before finishing and deleting the dump files.
- Modifying BrowserTestUtils.crashBrowser() so that it optionally does not
  delete the dump files, this is useful for tests that submit their dumps and
  thus delete them on their own.

Part 1 added support for changing default permissions via pref. This
patch adds support in the frontend code, which is required to actually
make it work for most permission prompts.

This patch introduces the concept of SitePermissions.PROMPT (which
already exists in the permission manager) to distinguish between
the default UNKNOWN state and the explicit PROMPT state. They both
have the same effect (always asking the user for confirmation).

43ee76c5ed Bug 1407351 - Remove nightly-only e10s testing features from the main browser window. r=mikedeboer 
The only thing that I didn't remove was the process ID on the tab tooltip, which I find to be super helpful. For that, I changed the check from E10S_TESTING_ONLY to NIGHTLY_BUILD.

113e92470d Bug 1404568 - Use the correct browser_action theme icons when the action is in a menu-panel. r=mixedpuppy 
The patch adding support for specifying theme icons had a bug in the CSS: it
added styles for the action in a menu-panel depending on theme, but missed out
the theme pseudo-class selectors.  Therefore the dark text icon was always used
since it was last in the CSS.
Additionally, the menu panels can't be styled, so still have light backgrounds
and dark text even in light text themes. If a light icon is used in the menu
panel in a light text theme it will be hard to see.

Thus, this patch adds the pseudo-class for dark text themes, but removes the
selector entirely for light text themes.

093d53d74b Bug 1404206 - Part 1: Smart Location Bar should have special inputmode value, mozAwesomebar. r=smaug, r=gijs 
Smart Location Bar (a.k.a URL bar) has some features, loading inputted URL
directly, searching bookmark items and history items, and search inputted words
with registered search engine.

So, it does not make sense its inputmode is "url".  E.g., neither showing URL
specific software keyboard nor switching IME open state automatically for
typing URL may not be expected in most cases.

Unfortunately, there is no proper inputmode value for Smart Location Bar.
Therefore, this patch uses "mozAwesomebar" value and accepts the value only in
chrome documents.  This value should be handled by each native IME handler
properly.

d908d328bf Bug 1399068 - Send the context menu target node up to the parent as an explicit CPOW to fix login selection. r=Felipe 
LoginManagerParent expects either a CPOW or a DOM node (in the non-e10s case) to
be passed as the inputElement for LoginManagerParent.fillForm. In bug 1360406,
we serialized the target in the content process so that the parent didn't have
access to the CPOW anymore.

This patch adds a targetAsCPOW property to the nsContextMenu solely for passing
back and forth between the parent and content processes in order to refer to
the target DOM node.

4f1cf2c5d1 Bug 1389784: Recover gracefully when we fail to create a tab browser. r=mystor 
There are some cases where we fail to create a tab's browser due to the sanity
checks in _createBrowser(). While in theory those should never fail, in
practice they seem to. And when they do, they leave the browser in an
inconsistent state.

This change should both prevent the worst effects of these failures, and also
give use better error reporting so that we can properly debug them.

1a8efc0e83 Bug 1390885 - Remove code that adjusts the titlebar to drawing lwthemes inside the titlebar. r=nhnt11 
We got rid of drawing lwthemes inside the titlebar on OSX in bug 1392219 but
there was still some code that adjusted the titlebar, which we forgot
remove. Incidentally, that code was also causing a bug (even before we
removed the in-titlebar drawing) which we now don't need to worry about
anymore now.

882fa06e25 Bug 1401991 - Ensure that we don't hide panelviews that are already reparented to another multi-view and ensure to hide other panels consistently. r=Gijs 
* Harden the new `hideAllViewsExcept()` to not do erroneous things if called when
   the binding is already gone.
 * Generalize things into `hideAllViewsExcept(thisOne)`:
    - Clear `_viewShowing` in there and do the descriptionHeightWorkaround thing
      in there too,
    - For Photon panels, do all the 'current' attribute setting in there. To show
      a panel during transition, I introduced the 'in-transition' attribute.
 * I had to make sure not to over-eagerly dispatch 'ViewShowing' events, because
   that confuses some,
 * Move the temporary panel handling, which contains an ephemeral panelmultiview
   instance, internally. This cleans up the hacky, duplicate PanelUI.js code nicely.
 * Keep a local copy of `_transitionDetails` to ensure it's still there after transition,
 * Harden `_cleanupTransitionPhase()` to only clear the phase that belongs to a
   specific transition, _if_ that's passed in as an argument. This resolves any
   potential raciness that might occur when `showSubView()` is called again mid-transition.
 * Skip the UITour element visibility check when it's inside a panelview, because
   too many things need to happen and that check is too simple to be useful in
   that case.

1e2c41849c Bug 1402493 - Don't prevent switching back to Reload for top level about: loads. r=Gijs 
In the steps to reproduce of this bug, we get see a load start for about:blank that is not top level. We then see a following load complete (STATE_STOP) that has aWebProgress.isTopLevel=true. This code is really here to prevent flickering from reload->stop->reload for about:home and other about: pages. I don't see any harm in being more agressive when switching back to Reload since that is the default state.

Setting an icon for the tab and storing that icon in Places are now separate actions.
Before bug 1401777 setIcon was doing both, but that was error-prone and more expensive.
Due to that change, useDefaultIcon stopped storing root domain favicons in Places.

9e9be5b555 Bug 1376971 - Part 1: add loadingprincipal attribute on the node. r=baku 
pageInfo.js is running with SystemPrincipal, and when it tries to do
media preview it will try to fetch the media with System Principal.

However this request to content resouces should use the content principal
instead, so we specify the principal of the content document as
'loadingprincipal' on the node, with the following patches on the dom side, so
we could make this request to be isolated.

We have to handle the item overflow after the popup opens in case the positioning has changed, otherwise the measurements would return incorrect values. This causes additional synchronous reflows the first time the popup is opened or after the window is resized.

359d915760 Bug 1385548 - Part 1: Support tab modals in WebExtensions options_ui pages. r=kmag 
This patch introduces a stub gBrowser object which allow a WebExtensions options_ui page
to open a tab modal using alert/prompt/confirm.

The about:addons page is defined at toolkit level but the TabModalPromptBox is defined
at browser level, and so to be able to provide a TabMobalPromptBox from the about:addons
page this patch uses the implementation provided by the window that contains the
about:addons tab, if any.

b24a640a13 Bug 1400357 - Whitelist maximize.svg in browser_startup_images. r=florian 
There have been changes to our Windows infrastructure that cause the
window to be maximized when running tests so the maximize.svg/restore.svg
combination will show restore instead of maximize, though maximize is
still loaded. I think it could be prevented by trying to set the sizemode
attribute a little earlier or not defaulting to maximize in the stylesheet,
but I don't think that's a necessary optimization at this point. We can
just whitelist it.

I also set the intermittentShown flag in case the Windows machines go back
to non-maximized windows.
