First, this patch changes TextEditRules::CreateBRInternal() to a private method for making any callers use CreateBR() or CreateMozBR() instead. Then, this patch makes TextEditRules::CreateBRInternal() return both nsresult and created <br> element with CreateElementResult class. Finally, this patch makes all callers of them check if they don't return an error code including NS_ERROR_EDITOR_DESTROYED.
