Mark Hammond e4a5ee36a6 Bug 1875678 - use set/getStringPref instead of set/getCharPref in services/. r=skhamis,sync-reviewers 
Theoretically we only need to change this where the strings might be
non-ascii but it seems safer in the long run to just avoid the "char"
versions entirely.
