What would you like to see?

Hello!

I've been using AnythingLLM for a decent amount of time now. I've organized my Workspaces largely in technical buckets and my Threads into specific sub-buckets.

Example:

  • Workspace: PYTHON
    • Threads:
      • LOGGING
      • OOP
      • REQUESTS
      • LIST_COMPS
      • etc.

I can't help but notice how that left nav reminds me of my VS Code-based personal knowledge management (PKM) tooling (daily journals, macros, technical topics, documentation, etc.). I was a longtime user of Dendron but they ceased and have messed around with Obsidian, Notion, etc. but the workflow of multiple using multiple apps never stuck (VS Code for code, external tool for PKM).

It would be quite magical to:

  • export "the gem dialogs" from AnythingLLM as .md "snippets" to be incorporated into external tools OR
  • have a "notebook" of sorts directly within AnythingLLM

The ideas and code I co-develop with the models in AnythingLLM are tending to get lost in all my Workspaces and Threads. The CTRL + f feature is helpful, and Home / End / Pg Up / Pg Dn also helps...but... I feel like there is something to be adapted so the Knowledge Management piece of AnythingLLM is maximized.

Wouldn't it be unreal if the model itself provided insights on "where in your Personal Knowledge Graph this dialog might fit"??

"Apply to Graph?"...whooooaaa. Having to develop a PKM schema, before or during knowledge creation/capture, has always been a serious bottleneck. If this factor was co-developed AS WELL...whew...powerful.

Thanks again for the killer app.

Not sure what platform you're on, but on MacOS I use the tool SnippetsLab (which also seems to have a VSC plugin which I don't use) to capture/categorize code bits and other technical stuff that I find useful.
