Originally created by @socketbox on GitHub (Dec 29, 2024).
Original GitHub issue: https://github.com/Mintplex-Labs/anything-llm/issues/2911

What would you like to see?

Rather than have the user repeat a query or request because they can't recall where it is in the dozens (hundreds?) of threads they've created, why not provide them with the ability to search for it, across workspaces and threads? This functionality would include not only title (thread name) text but also the full text of chats.

I'm aware of the ability to search the current chat (using the standard Ctrl+F facility); this issue requests that the scope be expanded.

One potential way of going about this: https://www.librechat.ai/docs/configuration/meilisearch

In docker compose, this would look something akin to this: https://github.com/danny-avila/LibreChat/blob/6c9a468b8e4b08d844351a2a448c7933d78559df/docker-compose.yml#L37

I'd really like to see chats and wikis and documents and tables/spreadsheets alongside each other, and like Finder.app, be able to be viewed as the list tree (the current situation) but also as a table (where i can change sort order by the columns), or as cards, and whatnot. Searching should search across everything. And I should have the ability to compress chats and threads into memories for reuse / awareness / reference.

To some extent this is how Coda.io/AnyType/NocoDB/Baserow.io treat content, where all content is queryable/composable.

Thanks for sharing this idea. A unified workspace where chats, documents,
and other resources can be organized and viewed in different layouts (list,
table, cards) could definitely improve discoverability and workflow
management.
