Hi,

I am trying to build the Docker image for anything-llm (v1.8.0) following the instructions provided in the docker directory of the repository. However, during the build process, my machine gets stuck, and both CPU and memory usage spike to 100%, making it difficult to complete the build.

Could you please provide the recommended system specifications (e.g., CPU, RAM, disk space) for building this Docker image locally? Any suggestions to optimize the build process or resolve the issue would also be appreciated.

@timothycarambat commented on GitHub (Jun 9, 2025):

https://docs.anythingllm.com/installation-docker/system-requirements

Building the docker image however, is completely machine dependent. There is no "requirement" for building a docker image, but like any software your speed and performance is wholly machine dependent.

Are you like trying to build the image on a t3.micro/nano or something? Any software would run slowly on such limited resources
