What would you like to see?

It would be nice to see the meeting assistant be available when running AnythingLLM using Docker.

I haven't seen concrete information on if this is planned or not. It would be great to be able to use it on Docker as well. The feature looks great and would be better to have than whatever makeshift tool we have to create instead on Docker for doing something similar.

Do you have any plans about bringing it to Docker ?

Thanks in advance.

Somewhere in GH i have responded to this, but in general the reason for it not being in Docker is:

  • Most people run AnythingLLM in super lightweight VMs so the resources are not their to transcribe
  • Permissioning around who exactly gets access to that feature in a multi-user instance
  • Browser support for screen recording and loopback is spotty and basically seems to limit us only the Chrome

Those are the primary technical reasons for why it is not in Docker. From what it sounds like, you are more interested in the engine itself rather than the integration with AnythingLLM?

No I am interested in using it in my dockerized version of AnythingLLM. I see that you have decent reasons for it being a desktop exclusive, so in the meantime I'll try to make something of my own. If you ever find a way around those limitations, I'd love to see the feature available on Docker too.
