For this issue, it will stay not planned - the fixed sidebar size is intended. There is the hotkey ctrl/cmd + shift +s to minimize it totally as well as click the "tray" icon in top right of sidebar.

As for dynamic resizing, we wont be pursing that due to an annoying UI quirk that came up a long time ago that made things really complex
