Description

I have optimized the images included in the documentation for the anything-llm application, reducing the total size from 277 MB to 39.3 MB without any loss in visual quality. This optimization is expected to improve documentation load times and decrease bandwidth usage when viewing or cloning the repository.

Impact

  • Repository Size: By significantly reducing the image sizes, the overall repository size is optimized, making cloning and other data-transfer operations more efficient.
  • Documentation Load Times: With lighter images, the visual content in the web documentation is expected to load faster, enhancing the user experience.
  • Bandwidth Costs: Users and contributors will experience lower data usage when browsing or downloading the documentation.

Proposed Change

  1. Replace all current images with their compressed versions.
  2. Ensure the optimized images maintain sufficient quality for their purpose in the documentation.
  3. If needed, document the image size reduction in the release notes to maintain a clear history of this optimization.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Compare the documentation load time with the current images versus the optimized images.
  2. Confirm that the optimized images retain their original quality.
