20b358db9d Revert r301950: SpeculativeExecution: Stop using whitelist for costs
This pass doesn't correctly handle testing for when it is legal to hoist
arbitrary instructions. The whitelist happens to make it safe, so before
it is removed the pass's legality checks will need to be enhanced.

Details have been added to the code review thread for the patch.

Just let TTI's cost do this instead of arbitrarily restricting
this.

7bee5ceb02 Mark that SpeculativeExecution preserves Globals Alias Analysis.
A few benchmarks with lots of accesses to global variables in the hot
loops regressed a lot since r266399, which added the
SpeculativeExecution pass to the default pipeline. The problem is that
this pass doesn't mark Globals Alias Analysis as preserved. Globals
Alias Analysis is computed in a module pass, whereas
SpeculativeExecution is a function pass, and a lot of passes dependent
on the Globals Alias Analysis to optimize these benchmarks are also
function passes. As such, the Globals Alias Analysis information cannot
be recomputed between SpeculativeExecution and the following function
passes needing that information.

SpeculativeExecution doesn't invalidate Globals Alias Analysis, so mark
it as such to fix those performance regressions.

653d361880 Re-commit optimization bisect support (r267022) without new pass manager support.
The original commit was reverted because of a buildbot problem with LazyCallGraph::SCC handling (not related to the OptBisect handling).

fd49f275f8 Initial implementation of optimization bisect support.
This patch implements a optimization bisect feature, which will allow optimizations to be selectively disabled at compile time in order to track down test failures that are caused by incorrect optimizations.

The bisection is enabled using a new command line option (-opt-bisect-limit). Individual passes that may be skipped call the OptBisect object (via an LLVMContext) to see if they should be skipped based on the bisect limit. A finer level of control (disabling individual transformations) can be managed through an addition OptBisect method, but this is not yet used.

The skip checking in this implementation is based on (and replaces) the skipOptnoneFunction check. Where that check was being called, a new call has been inserted in its place which checks the bisect limit and the optnone attribute. A new function call has been added for module and SCC passes that behaves in a similar way.

c6bd85bac2 [Speculation] Add a SpeculativeExecution mode where the pass does nothing unless TTI::hasBranchDivergence() is true.
Summary:
This lets us add this pass to the IR pass manager unconditionally; it
will simply not do anything on targets without branch divergence.

f5f123721d Scalar: Remove remaining ilist iterator implicit conversions
Remove remaining `ilist_iterator` implicit conversions from
LLVMScalarOpts.

This change exposed some scary behaviour in
lib/Transforms/Scalar/SCCP.cpp around line 1770. This patch changes a
call from `Function::begin()` to `&Function::front()`, since the return
was immediately being passed into another function that takes a
`Function*`. `Function::front()` started to assert, since the function
was empty. Note that `Function::end()` does not point at a legal
`Function*` -- it points at an `ilist_half_node` -- so the other
function was getting garbage before. (I added the missing check for
`Function::isDeclaration()`.)

Otherwise, no functionality change intended.

d795ba5ad9 Add a speculative execution pass
Summary:
This is a pass for speculative execution of instructions for simple if-then (triangle) control flow. It's aimed at GPUs, but could perhaps be used in other contexts. Enabling this pass gives us a 1.0% geomean improvement on Google benchmark suites, with one benchmark improving 33%.

Credit goes to Jingyue Wu for writing an earlier version of this pass.

Patched by Bjarke Roune.

Test Plan:
This patch adds a set of tests in test/Transforms/SpeculativeExecution/spec.ll
The pass is controlled by a flag which defaults to having the pass not run.
