7ebc3777de Attempt to fix random build failures seen when doing highly 
parallel builds: the gold plugin fails to link because the lto
library is in the middle of being written out by the linker.

23e6d2b88a Only build libedis if ENABLE_SHARED is specified, just like liblto. 
Don't build any of the dynamic library stuff on cygwin/mingw.

bd51cdd067 Added a bare-bones Makefile to build the enhanced disassembly 
library as a static and a shared library.  Added dependencies
so the target-specific enhanced disassembly info tables are
built before the library.

dbf75e813e remove llvm-db: it is completely broken and if anyone wants to do a debugger, 
they should not base it on llvm-db (which not following almost any "best practices").

e55db74152 The attached patches attempt to fix cross builds. For example, if you 
try to use i686-darwin to build for arm-eabi, you'll quickly run into
several false assumptions that the target OS must be the same as the
host OS. These patches split $(OS) into $(HOST_OS) and $(TARGET_OS) to
help builds like "make check" and the test-suite able to cross
compile. Along the way a target of *-unknown-eabi is defined as
"Freestanding" so that TARGET_OS checks have something to work with.

f9f065e455 Add a skeleton driver for new machine code level fun. llvm-mc is meant 
to be a test driver of other components in the system, which will develop
over time.

dcd158af27 Force 'llvm-config' to go first, optionally followed by lto and gold mixed in 
with the rest of the parallel directories.

Build lto when possible on all platforms. Make gold to explicitly depend on
libLTO.
