Dan Gohman de551f91d8 Use CHAR_BIT instead of hard-coding 8 in several places where it

is appropriate. This helps visually differentiate host-oriented
calculations from target-oriented calculations.

Low Level Virtual Machine (LLVM)

This directory and its subdirectories contain source code for the Low Level 
Virtual Machine, a toolkit for the construction of highly optimized compilers,
optimizers, and runtime environments.
