I'm on the pro plan, had the same error unless I enable it in my Copilot settings on Github

I had the same problem but resolved after I login the github copilot again.

I got it working.

I had to first enable the GPT-5 model in https://github.com/settings/copilot/features then logout/login again with copilot.

I had already done that. It is already working now. Will assume the issue was on the provider side. Probably wasn't available at the time. Closing ticket. Thank you
