When using Chinese input methods in macOS, layout errors occur(seems like only occurred in macos built-in terminal, not in cursor's terminal).

@fwang commented on GitHub (Jun 18, 2025):

for chinese input, as u type, a picker shows up suggestting the character. In this screencast, u can see the picker appears at the last line, and that seems to be pushing the entire page up.

On my two Macs:

  • Mac mini (macOS 15.6.1): this issue appears in VS Code terminal, but not in iTerm2.
  • MacBook Air (macOS 26): no problem on this device.

I’m not sure why this happens.
