Hi,

Currently the Read tool fails to read any images and tells to use another tool.
What tool can read images in OpenCode?
I am using it with Claude and it can read images with Claude Code CLI.

Thanks

This issue might be a duplicate of existing issues. Please check:

  • #1351: Unable to read/view PNG images - Same core issue about Read tool failing on images
  • #1504: Drag and drop photos not functioning - Related to image attachment/reading functionality
  • #1563: MCP tool returning an image is not working properly - Image handling issues in OpenCode

Feel free to ignore if none of these address your specific case.

right now the preferred way is to directly @ reference the file or drag & drop it into context but it seems like we should be able to read
