I am using a Fedora 42, KDE desktop Linux and I did one prompt and the opencode tui looks like a hot mess, how does anyone use this? Also it seem to be stuck on a very simple prompt, keep saying, "generating..."

fwiw this is a critical bug that will stop me from ever using this tool, hopefully someone will fix this.

Yes it is Konsole, which is the default KDE terminal.
I do not have this problem with Gemini CLI or Claude Code CLI.

the tui is about to get a big rewrite shipped so once that is complete, the team can try to better address these

I had the same thing happening to me using Warp on Windows. It didn't stick on generating but any scrolling or anything would cause overlap and garbled text.

FWIW, I found the same behavior with Konsole, slightly better behavior with gnome-terminal, and decent (usable) behavior with xterm. Best behavior is using a plain tty session outside of the graphical environment altogether.

Same problem here, but it seems that Alacritty has no issues with it at all. So at least you don't actually have to resort to tty.

So much for using LLMs to fix said problem in days, never mind weeks! This entire movement is a joke.
