What I expected: Claude Code double escape behavior: select message from the history to edit.

Instead I need to pick the message immediately BEFORE the message I need to edit, find the message I need in history via the UP arrow, and edit it.

Please consider changing the /timeline behavior so the conversation is rewound to the message I select in the dialog, and the message appears unsent so I can edit it. (Thus rewind logic is the same as now, but for user message -1 of selected, and selected message is placed in the user message text area)

It is too broken for me to try ATM, sorry (using stock macOs Terminal.app). The text I type is black (not visible), there is no /sessions command, ctrl+U does not work, etc

Yes it is. (Highlighting with the mouse, clicking, then reverting) reverts the correct message. However, /timeline is missing

yes! the bunx opencode-ai@opentui works well enough!! forking is an ABSOLUTE game changer for me!

edit:
the released version can also restore using /timeline then r. Actually this is fine how it works too
