This issue might be a duplicate of existing issues. Please check:

  • #3271: Similar UI layout problem where cursor floats when terminal is resized to certain dimensions
  • #2428: Message layout issues where terminal resize events aren't processed correctly, causing layout problems
  • #1105: Layout issues when window width is narrow, related to TUI not adapting properly to window size changes

Feel free to ignore if none of these address your specific case.

I can confirm this bug on Windows 10. Windows standard terminal (cmd) and powershell 7.5.4.

@yurii-sio2 this is an upstream bug in bun that will be fixed later today when bun releases their next version. Once that ships we can upgrade bun here and send out a new release with the fix

Hi, has there been any progress on this front?

Adding some more evidence, the TUI completely breaks when resized horizontally. Vertically, it seems fine though

@rekram1-node latest IntelliJ IDEA 2025.3, Build #IU-253.28294.334, built on December 5, 2025

Weird, because Claude Code still maintains the input boxes and is still usable somehow

I'm seeing this same issue in WebStorm FWIW. Gemini and Clade Code detect resize perfectly in the same terminal window.
