Question

Someone wrote two reddit posts detailing how to set up on claude. Can any of the contributors make one for opencode? The sample config files alone have 1,100 stars in 40 hours. If you do this with multiple models, it will really help people like to get the ball rolling. Instead of coming from Cursor or RooCode to Claude code to Opencode, people can really take off with opencode.

This issue might be a duplicate of existing issues. Please check:

  • #740: Getting Started Docs suggestion - This issue specifically requests adding usage examples and workflow guidance to the project README
  • #1378: Onboarding - Requests making onboarding more straightforward and guiding users through authentication
  • #2062: Please do create detailed tutorial for windows - Requests detailed setup tutorials
  • #3582: Workflow - Discusses better workflows for using OpenCode on Windows
  • #882: Req: Document plan mode in README - Requests better documentation of features

These existing issues already cover documentation improvements, getting started guides, onboarding, and tutorial requests similar to what you're proposing.

Feel free to ignore if none of these address your specific case.

@helloravi are you asking specifically for reddit posts?

Can you outline what trouble you are having?

We do have quite a decent docs site to help you get started, if you wanna use other models just do “opencode auth login” select the provider and you will see their models in the model list

A sample template of how you guys are setting up your workflow with different models.

The docs explain each of the features. A workflow that shows how you are cooking with all the features would be very helpful for terminal coding newbies like me.

It could be a doc or reddit post or anything with a sample template like the guy on reddit did for claude. I understand you guys are small team building really fast. If you can share a template and your workflow process it would be of great help.

I think the closest thing we have to that rn is this doc: https://opencode.ai/docs#usage

But i think we should try to document or have videos or something to show others how we use opencode.
