Describe the enhancement you want to request

In smaller windows the sidebar takes up a bit of space.

Add a config option to set the default state (open or closed) by default.

Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
