This issue might be a duplicate of existing issues. Please check:

  • #3740: Timeline missing from 1.0.x versions - Similar issue where UI features that were available in previous versions disappeared after upgrading to v1.0
  • #3792: Missing /details command in opencode v1 - Another feature missing after v1.0 upgrade, suggests a pattern of UI features being removed/hidden
  • #3748: Export functionality seems to be missing in opentui version - Another missing feature that was available pre-1.0
  • #3803: Overlapping data in the sidepanel on small screens/tiles - Related to panel display issues in TUI

Feel free to ignore if none of these address your specific case.

I think this is due to your terminal window size, so if it is small the sidebar doesnt show

It is working again now. Not sure what happened then. Because I had the same size back then too. I'm closing this for now because it seems like no one else is facing this.

Came back: the "Show sidebar" is available when you have a conversation, not on the start page waiting to start a conversation with an empty input.
