In standard readline keybindings Ctrl+A and Ctrl+E move to the beginning and end of the current line, not the beginning and end of the buffer.

This issue might be a duplicate of existing issues. Please check:

  • #2649: Reports same behavior with Home/End keys moving to beginning/end of entire prompt instead of current line, which is the same core issue as Ctrl+A/Ctrl+E

Feel free to ignore if none of these address your specific case.
