Feature hasn't been suggested before.

  • I have verified this feature I'm about to request hasn't been suggested before.

Describe the enhancement you want to request

There should be some hint, that the auto update successfully upgraded to a new version, so that the user can restart opencode.

Especially as new versions come out multiple times a day, I struggle when to restart - of course I always want to be on the newest version :)

This issue might be a duplicate of existing issues. Please check:

  • #1926: Suggestion to add hotkey to restart Opencode after opening, if user got message that he/she needs to restart
  • #1600: Improve update UX (discusses the frequent update notifications and user experience when updates are available)

Feel free to ignore if none of these address your specific case.

hm - the suggested duplicates indicate that there already is some kind of "updated hint" maybe I just always miss it or there is some bug... anyways closing this.

@daniel-sc on a recent version we fixed the toast, it wasn't showing when it upgraded.

Also for those that have autoupdate set to false, they can put "autoupdate": "notify", so that they see a new update is available but won't be upgraded to it
