Feature hasn't been suggested before.

  • I have verified this feature I'm about to request hasn't been suggested before.

Describe the enhancement you want to request

I'd love to be able to use opencode as the TUI for some testing I'm doing with customizing a new ACP compatible coding agent.

I know we can use the opencode agent with ACP compatible frontends like Zed but we aren't able to do the reverse as far as I can tell and use opencode with ACP agents.

This issue might be a duplicate of existing issues. Please check:

  • #2032: [Request] Add documentation and examples for making alternate client (ie. not built in TUI) - This request discusses using OpenCode's server implementation with alternate clients/frontends, which is closely related to using the TUI as an ACP client.

Feel free to ignore if none of these address your specific case.

It's not a duplicate - I'm trying to go the other way, use the TUI with an alternate agent.
