y'all, i have been spamming refresh on the overhaul pr, and am mega excited for this work

one concern i have is the fairly recent support from anthropic to use your claude max subscription ($100 / $200 pm) with claude code.

this is insane value for money. i have been aggressively using it and have not hit any rate limits yet.

comparing this to raw claude opus api usage - i was running easy $50 - $100 p/d with similar usage.

i checked, and they don't allow claude max to be used with other ai assistant technologies.

maybe the win is to tell anthropic to use opencode instead of their homegrown tui.

Honestly I doubt they will because that vendor lock in is what is drawing people to use the claude max sub.

I'm currently working on some nice features for opencode to mess around (modes, rules, task management, etc), because I wanted to see these in opencode. That $100 sub with a ton of usage is nice. Sadly you can't use that auth token with other tools (I've tried)

Nice! I'm just hoping that some open source models catch up and are cheaper lol.

I will say though, Claude is pretty good with tool calling and I wonder if Google fixed that.
