Description

On verison 1.0.175. When using any of the conversation modes, occasionally the output streams all the way near the end, then it suddenly stops. I can switch session and switch back, in which case the full conversation will appear, and the request it indeed completed, but if I stay on the same session, the missing tail of the conversation never shows up.

OpenCode version

1.0.175

Steps to reproduce

No reliable reproduction, but it has a chance to randomly happen to any agent conversation that is being streamed.

Screenshot and/or share link

No response

Operating System

OpenSUSE Tumbleweed

Terminal

VSCode built-in (Version 1.107.1) via the extension

This issue might be a duplicate of existing issues. Please check:

  • #5006: TUI Renders Truncated LLM Response Despite Full Output in Log File - Similar issue where responses are cut off in the TUI but complete in logs
  • #4321: Missing messages in TUI - Reports missing parts of LLM responses or input not displayed
  • #196: Potential race condition for displaying streamed messages in the TUI as one single message - Related streaming display issue

Feel free to ignore if none of these address your specific case.

just to chime in - this is happening quite a bit for me. on windows 11, latest opencode (1.0.167). Opus 4.5 model.

Not sure HOW much is truncated, but one example is just the last line of output (comparing session transcript to terminal):
"Your turn's done. End it, or try something else?"
vs
"Your turn's done. End it, or "
