Feature hasn't been suggested before.

  • I have verified this feature I'm about to request hasn't been suggested before.

Describe the enhancement you want to request

In Claude Code, there is a configuration called awsAuthRefresh, which is a command to auto refresh the sso during the connection if if fails. For me, it's configured to aws sso login --profile claude.

It's very convenient since I have several profiles on AWS, and when the CLI logins to a different profile during the work, I need to login again, and it automatically works. Will glad to see this feature in opencode as well.

This issue might be a duplicate of existing issues. Please check:

  • #1934: Automatically run aws sso login when credentials need to be refreshed

This closed issue requests the exact same functionality - automatically refreshing AWS SSO credentials when they expire. Your feature request for awsAuthRefresh configuration is essentially an enhancement to that feature allowing users to specify a custom command.

Feel free to ignore if your specific use case differs.
