Question

Does OpenCode fail to run properly on computers without internet access? Does the program rely on any internet-based APIs during operation? I found some errors in the logs that show requests to the address models.dev.

This issue might be a duplicate of existing issues. Please check:

  • #4959: [FEATURE]: Add option to disable models.dev fetch for corporate proxy environments - Discusses the exact same problem with models.dev API calls during startup and proposes an offline/disable-fetch configuration option
  • #5338: Opencode becomes stuck on start if internet connection is not stable - Reports similar startup issues when internet connectivity is unreliable
  • #5554: Disable Telemetry - User attempted to disable all remote connections but OpenCode still connects to remote hosts

Feel free to ignore if none of these address your specific case.
