MiniMax M2.1 is free until today. For now you can use the other 3 for free, no auth. The next to go after MM is probably going to be GLM 4.7

I believe MiniMax 2.1 from Zen has stopped working at 5 pm CET

Image

1 message block was before 5 pm
last message block was me switcing to a another model, the remaining interrupted messages are from Minimax 2.1 (Zen, free)

This is the error I see:

PS: I have enough Zen credits, so it's not an insufficient balance issue, and most likely expired credits inf. credits Opencode might have given users for the free models.

I am asking about this string "currently free on OpenCode for a limited time"
So it means all models will be paid in the future?

Most models will be paid, just as they are right now. The free models are offered for free in exchange for your usage data, which should be used for improvements

Who knows what the rate limit is for the free plan?

@Kaligraphy247 does "usage data" include code that can be used for training the models?

Also - In the desktop app, I currently see that these are free:

  • GPT-5 Nano
  • Big Pickle
  • GLM-4.7
  • Grok Code Fast 1
  • MiniMax M2.1
Will the ETA for paid be different in the terminal / console vs the desktop app?

What is the timeline for each of the models going to the paid tier?

@connecteev I'm not an insider so I'm not 100% sure, however, prompt and the response may be logged by the model provider and probably used to train or improve models
