Description

I'm using Windows. I previously installed OpenCode using npm, but after the update, typing "opencode" in the command prompt (cmd) shows it cannot be found. I thought it was an environment issue, so I uninstalled it and tried to install it using bun add -g opencode-ai. However, it stopped working during the installation process, displaying the following error message.

This issue might be a duplicate of existing issues or related to broader Windows installation problems. Please check:

  • #7595: Same error - Windows environment npm package installation error with 'opencode-windows-x64' package not found
  • #6057: Windows 11 - bun add -g opencode-ai succeeds but command produces black screen
  • #5476: Windows installation issues - npm install works but 'opencode' command not found afterward
  • #5223: Windows 11 - npm install succeeds but execution fails with BunInstallFailedError
  • #631: Meta-issue tracking general Windows Support ("our windows support isn't really there")

This appears to be part of a larger Windows installation/package resolution issue affecting multiple installation methods (npm, bun, chocolatey, winget).

Feel free to ignore if your specific case differs from these.

I'm like you, it's said that it's because I installed terminal beautification or some plugin

It shouldn't be; I didn't have this problem in the previous version.

I know the problem is caused by a Claude skill, but it works fine in Claude, only in OpenCode where it shows an incorrect YAML file.
