Feature hasn't been suggested before.

  • I have verified this feature I'm about to request hasn't been suggested before.

Describe the enhancement you want to request

The idea is to allow a mobile device to pair with a specific desktop instance (via QR code or pairing token). The mobile app acts as a lightweight controller, while all tasks are executed on the paired desktop, which serves as the task runner.

Key Capabilities

  • Secure mobile ↔ desktop pairing

  • Trigger predefined tasks from mobile

  • View task status and basic logs

  • Desktop-only execution (no code runs on mobile)

Motivation

This enables mobile-triggered, desktop-executed workflows—similar to tools like happy—and extends Open Code into a multi-device developer experience.

This issue might be a duplicate of existing issues. Please check:

  • #6536: [FEATURE]: Mobile App - Also proposes a native mobile app with connection to OpenCode instance

Feel free to ignore if your specific use case differs from these.
