Description

when I have opencode running in one monitor, and I move the window to another monitor it scrolls up to the beginning of the chat, and you have to scroll all the way down again.

Distributor ID: Ubuntu
Description: Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS
Release: 24.04
Codename: noble

I believe this was not happening on the previous Opencode release

I did disable wayland on ubuntu, this might be the issue cause, but still this shouldn't happen anyway.

Plugins

none

OpenCode version

1.1.14

Steps to reproduce

  1. you should have more than one monitor
  2. have opencode running on one screen
  3. move the terminal window to another screen

you were viewing the latest chat message

output: the chat unexpectedly scrolls to the beginning of the chat, and you have to scroll down again a ton to reach the end of the chat.

Screenshot and/or share link

No response

Operating System

Ubuntu 24.04.3

Terminal

Bash

This issue might be a duplicate of existing issues. Please check:

  • #6895: [Bug] TUI scroll position resets to session start after approving commands that exceed terminal height - similar scroll position reset behavior
  • #4196: Reading chat history during LLM responses re-snaps the history - relates to unintended scroll position changes
  • #7659: Don't Automatically Scroll Chat Window - relates to scroll behavior that may be resetting position

Feel free to ignore if none of these address your specific case.
