Description

Pressing the ESC key causes the app to crash/freeze and displays a permanent error message in the window that doesn't go away.

Environment

  • OpenCode version: 1.1.16
  • OS: macOS
  • Model: anthropic/claude-opus-4-5 (was using at time of issue)

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open OpenCode
  2. Press ESC at any point during use

Expected behavior

ESC should cancel the current action or close a modal/menu.

Actual behavior

  • App crashes or freezes
  • Permanent error message appears in the window
  • Error persists until app is restarted

Frequency

Happens every time ESC is pressed.
