Description

Using OPENCODE_EXPERIMENTAL_PLAN_MODE=1, when going back to edit one of the custom answers (that are longer than a few characters, presumably), I get flickering text that seems to cycle through the lines in quick succession.

Plugins

none

OpenCode version

1.1.23

Steps to reproduce

  1. OPENCODE_EXPERIMENTAL_PLAN_MODE=1 opencode
  2. Get the agent to ask 2 (or more) questions at once
  3. Pick "type your own answer" and fill out some text (presumably more than a single line)
  4. On the "confirm" tab use the arrows to go back through the previous tabs.
  5. Select the "type your own answer" option again to edit / expand the text you typed.
  6. See janky cycling text
  7. Type any character -> the jank stops and you're able to edit

This issue might be a duplicate of existing issues. Please check:

  • #8432: partial fix: Issues in the new experimental Planning mode - Specifically describes TUI 'spasms' (flashing) when editing custom 'Type your own answer' responses in experimental plan mode, with the same behavior pattern where flickering stops after user modifies content

Feel free to ignore if this doesn't address your specific case.
